Tar Heels roll over the Spartans, 98-63

#1 North Carolina looked every bit the top team in the country last night as they dismantled #12 Michigan State, 98-63, as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Tyler Hansbrough led the way with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Ty Lawson posted 17 points, eight assists, and SEVEN STEALS. Lawson showed great range on his jumper and if he can hit the long ball consistently, he’ll see his draft stock rise even further.

Along with their 102-87 win over then #8 Notre Dame, North Carolina has mowed through the competition thus far and do not face a serious test (on paper) until Jan. 8 when they play at #17 Wake Forest.

College hoops fans should be sure to tune in tonight to watch #9 UCLA face #8 Texas. The game is at 9 PM ET on ESPN2.
