Can Jim Harbaugh survive another season at Michigan?

Let’s face it. Jim Harbaugh has been a disaster at Michigan despite the huge expectations. He can’t beat Ohio State, and the Wolverines are no longer a top-tier college football program.

Can Harbaugh save the situation? It’s doubtful, and Paul Finebaum explains it well in the video above. And as he points out, many Michigan fans have had enough. It also appears that Michigan is having a problem with the number of players entering the transfer portal.

Can Steve Sarkisian bring back Texas football?

After the failed Tom Herman era, Steve Sarkisian has been given the Texas job with the challenge of elevating the languishing program. Sarkisian had an amazing run with the Alabama offense for the past two seasons, and he’s always been a great offensive mind.

But Tom Herman had similar qualifications, coming off a National Championship at Ohio State in 2014. Yet he had real issues on both sides of the ball.

Paul Finebaum rips the program in the video above, basically saying that Texas isn’t relevant these days. He explains how the billionaire booster program is a real problem at Texas, so much so that Nick Saban didn’t want to go there.

Texas has a tough schedule this year, so Sark may have a rough start with his new gig, and then the pressure will mount.

Julio Jones traded from Falcons to Titans

The Atlanta Falcons have traded Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans whi will send a 2022 2nd-round draft pick and a 2023 4th-round pick to the Falcons. Along with Jones, the Falcons will send a 2023 6th-round pick to the Titans.

The Titans didn’t have to spend a #1 pick so in many ways it’s a solid trade. The have a great running game with Derrick Henry and Jones will certainly help to stretch the field and make it harder for defenses to cheat to stop the run.

But the key here is the health of Jones. Is hos foot still a problem? That will determine the success of this trade. But it’s a decent calculated risk by the Titans while Atlanta sheds payroll and starts to move on.

Clippers eliminate Mavs and Luca Doncic

Luka Doncic poured in 46 points, but the and the Mavs didn’t have enough to overcome the LA Clippers in Game 7.

Naturally, this starts the conversation about getting Luka the help he needs going forward. Kristaps Porzingis has been a huge disappointment so far. Was he overrated, or does he need more time to get back to form following his injuries? That’s a big question for the Mavs going forward. How bold will they be in building a real contender around Luka? Let’s see if Mark Cuban’s front office has what it takes.
