Fantasy Football Q&A: Preseason
You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers. They may not be the right answers, or even thoughtful, credible answers, but they’re answers nonetheless.
Trying to decide who to freeze in your keeper league? Wondering who you should take with the first pick in the draft? Considering a trade and want a second opinion? We’re here to help.
Go ahead and post your question. Be sure to provide some idea of your league’s scoring system and starting requirements (is it a PPR league? do you start one or two RB? is there a flex position?), and we’ll do our best to give you an objective take.

3 keeper 10 team auction league start with 200 no ppr. I am keeping Slaton at 15, Calvin Johnson 22 and which one of these 3—-Cutler 15, B. Marshall 17 or Santana Moss 6?
@upsman — I think the best value there is Moss at $6. He has a good shot of finishing in the top 20. This assumes that you only have to start 1 QB — if it’s a 2 QB league then Cutler’s value is higher.
Any of the three are decent keepers at that price, so if you don’t want to keep two WRs, or you think Marshall is going to bounce back from a lousy summer with a great year, than you could keep either Cutler or Marshall. My pick would be Moss.
Will I ever win my keeper league, or will I lose to the same guy in the championship game for the third year in a row?
If you are consistently getting into the title game, then someday you will win your keeper league. I can’t say when, but if you stick to it long enough, you will eventually break through. It might be this year, or it might be 10 years down the line, but it will happen.
JP, you’re supposed to say, “Sorry, but I will continue to own you.”
Seriously, if you and I face each other again in the title game, I may just forfeit to save myself the heartache.
PPR Dynasty League – keeping Brady…holdover Reggie Bush or trade a mid level pick for Ronnie Brown?
Bush is a little tough because of his knee, but the latest news is that he’s practicing and feeling great, so I wouldn’t give him up to trade for Brown, who has about the same value (or maybe a little less) in a PPR league. Stick with Bush.
