The Celtics went into Miami and beat the Heat, 112-107. Ray Allen scored 35 points, hitting 7-of-9 from 3PT, while Rondo had eight points and 16 assists. LeBron James had a near triple-double (35-10-9), but Dwyane Wade stunk up the joint (2-of-12 from the field, eight points).
The C’s are now 2-0 against the Heat this season.
As part of his career-high 46 points in an OT win against the Heat, Paul Millsap hit three straight shots from long range. Prior to this game, Millsap was just 2-of-20 from 3PT in his career.
Talk about finding your range at the right time…geesh.
This is a pretty sick play.
Just visited with Aaron Brooks. Said he’ll be out four to six weeks.
The Rockets are 1-5 and can ill-afford to lose Brooks for any length of time, though they have one of the best backup point guards in the league in Kyle Lowry.
Complicating matters, the Rockets play five of their next six (and 14-of-23) games on the road.
Houston is scoring well (112.0 ppg, second only to the Lakers), but they’re giving up the second-most points as well. Their FG% allowed (44%) isn’t bad, but the Rockets are 26th in the league in defensive rebounding, so teams are getting loads of extra possessions.
Hakim Warrick has great hops, which is what makes the finish possible, but Nash created the opportunity with the beautiful dish.
