Sidney Crosby’s goal booed in Pittsburgh
As the Buffalo Sabres visited the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, Team USA/Buffalo goalie Ryan Miller got a strong ovation (along with chants of U-S-A, U-S-A) while Canadian/Penguin Sidney Crosby drew boos from the crowed when the jumbotron showed footage of his gold-medal winning goal.
Miller’s ovation is at the start of the video, while Crosby is introduced at around the 1:10 mark. Pittsburgh won, 3-2, but Miller didn’t play.

Wow this shows you how much the USA appreciates the sport. Canadians would NEVER act like this and that is the essential difference.
I like how they half-heartedly booed the goal, but whole heartedly cheered the players equally
S- I don’t understand what you’re saying. Are you saying that the Americans were in the wrong?
Yea S what are you saying? Should they have cheered when the video was shown? They cheered him as a player that night, it makes sense that they would boo the video since it was the game winning goal in the olympics. If USA had won and the american player was in Canada playing, they would boo the video also but at the same time cheer him that night as a player if he were on their team. It’s human nature if you are a fan, no matter what country you are from.
