The Lakers aren’t gelling very well in the preseason and can’t afford to lose Kobe for any length of time. The injury doesn’t appear to be serious, but it is a setback nonetheless.

Wednesday afternoon update: ESPN is reporting that the Lakers have no plans to have Kobe undergo a MRI on his injured knee. This is (probably) a good sign.
