After Team USA’s stunning win against Brazil on Sunday in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, I suspect there will be a rather large TV audience ready to watch the action as they take on France tomorrow at noon EST. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out Abby Wambach’s goal to tie up the match against Brazil.

Yesterday, I logged on to Twitter and saw that everyone was talking about the USA/Brazil Women’s World Cup game so I flipped it on. The game was in extra time, the U.S. was trailing by the goal and the announcers were pretty much leaving the Americans for dead. This is what happened…
The U.S. went on to win the game with penalty kicks.
Check out the highlights and the game summary. This US team has a ton of heart, and they got a huge win today over Brazil as they advanced on penalty kicks after tying the game late while being a player down.
The World Cup was a huge hit last year with the men’s tournament, and now the women have their turn. The US women are much more competitive than the men, so I think this tournament will be very popular. The Germans will be tough to beat on their home turf, but if the US women can win this one they can set up a rivalry of soccer powerhouses with Germany. Check out some of their training methods in this video.
