Former Bonds’ mistress will show goodies in Playboy

Kimberly Bell, the former mistress of Giants outfielder Barry Bonds, is set to tell and bare all in an upcoming issue of Playboy magazine.

The Playboy article, accompanied by a nude pictorial of Kimberly Bell, is scheduled to hit newsstands Oct. 1. Bell, 37, said the article would cover details of her relationship with Bonds that she told a grand jury investigating the perjury allegations in 2005.

Just like any issue of Playboy, I’m sure most of us will want to skip the photos and get right to the article. Because hey, why look at a woman’s fun bags when you can read about how big of a prick Bonds is, right?

Braves, Angels after Teixeira

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Braves and Halos are the two teams most likely to heavily peruse Rangers first basemen Mark Teixeira.

The Rangers, according to one source, think the chances of a Teixeira deal are “50-50.” The Braves surely are intrigued by the possibility of a lineup that would include two switch-hitters with power, Teixeira and Chipper Jones, through next season.

That would be a pretty sick lineup for the Braves, especially if they can hang on to shortstop Edgar Renteria, who’s currently hitting .334 with 10 long balls and 50 RBI. It’s going to be tough for Atlanta not to include Renteria in any potential trade, however, and might have to part with top prospect Jarrod Saltalamacchia too.

Barry in a slump or is this the end?

In case you haven’t noticed, San Francisco Giants outfielder Barry Lamar Bonds hasn’t been himself lately. In his last seven games, Bonds is 1 for 22 with no long balls and eight walks. He went 0 for 5 in the Giants’ 5-3 loss to the Dodgers Sunday and in the process left six men on base. He was so happy with himself, he said this following the game:

“Yeah, it’s an embarrassment for me to be wearing this f — uniform because of the way I’m playing,” Bonds said Sunday. “Now go away.”

One could say that’s typical Bonds, but it actually isn’t. While the, “Now go away” part is classic Bonds, the outburst on a whole isn’t normally cocky/confident Barry’s style. Anyone who has witnessed Bonds bat more than a handful of times this year, has definitely seen a different player than the one we’ve all been accustomed to. He takes pitches belt high and right down the pipe, is less disciplined with two strikes and his timing has been way off. Is this just a slump or has the game finally caught up to and passed the 42 year old?

Way to go Fightin’ Phils!

I don’t know, is it me or is it just too appropriate that the first professional sports franchise to lose 10,000 games hails from Philadelphia? Congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies and the city of the boo, for losing their 10,000 game last night to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday.

I know this happened at an Eagle game, but serves you right for throwing snowballs at Santa Claus you bums!
