American Football Conference

Clinched – The New England Patriots (12-2) and Oakland Raiders (11-3) have clinched a spot in the playoffs.

Kansas City Chiefs (10-4) – With a Kansas City win over the Denver Broncos or a loss by either the Miami Dolphins or the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs (10-4) will be moving on to the playoffs. With a loss, they would move on to week 17 in relatively good shape.

Miami Dolphins (9-5) – The Dolphins control its own fate. If they win on the road against the Buffalo Bills combined with losses by three of the following teams, they get in: Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers or the Tennessee Titans. If they lose, they move on to week 17.

Pittsburgh Steelers (9-5) – The Steelers also control its own fate. If they beat the Baltimore Ravens at home, they clinch the North Division title and a playoff spot. If they lose, they move on to a potential must win situation in week 17.

Baltimore Ravens (8-6) – If the Ravens beat the Steelers on the road, they stay alive for both a North Division title and the playoffs. If the lose, they would find themselves in a must win situation in week 17.

Houston Texans (8-6) – With a win against the Cincinnati Bengals combined with a loss by the Tennessee Titans, Houston would clinch the South Division title and a spot in the playoffs. With a loss, they would still be alive for both going into week 17.

Tennessee Titans (8-6) – If the Titans beat the Texans, they stay alive for a South Division title and a spot in the playoffs. With a loss, they would move on to week 17 to face a must win situation.

Denver Broncos (8-6) – Going into week 16, the reigning Super Bowl champs face elimination from the playoffs if they lose to the Kansas City Chiefs on the road. If the lose, they will be moving on to week 17 and a highly probable must win situation.

Indianapolis Colts (7-7) – The Colts face a must win situation in both weeks 16 and 17. They also need several key losses to stay alive. In week 16, they face a tough Oakland Raiders team on the road.

Buffalo Bills (7-7) – The Bills face a must win situation in both weeks 16 and 17. They also need several key losses to stay alive. In week 16, they face the Miami Dolphins at home.
