Every week, I highlight a few players that you should target in waivers. I use the ESPN league data when filtering players, so the only players eligible for discussion here are those that are available on the waiver wire in at least 50% of ESPN’s leagues. I’ll list each player’s percentage-owned after their name so you have an idea of how available they are in leagues around the country. I’ll always try to mention a few players that are available in 90% of leagues for those of you in 12-team leagues or leagues with big rosters. I’ll rank them in the order I’d pick them up in a league with a high-performance, PPR scoring system.

Please note that these rankings are for total value through the end of the year. Players with particularly good matchups this week are in bold.

According to the numbers, David Garrard and Matt Hasselbeck are the next most likely QBs to be out on the WW, so grab them first before moving on to the rest of the list.

Mark Sanchez (45.2)
Jason Campbell (28.2)
Alex Smith (0.2)
Smith looked great in relief of Shaun Hill on Sunday, and has been named the starter for the time being. Next week is a pretty tough matchup (@ IND), but after that it’s pretty smooth sailing the rest of the way.
Ryan Fitzpatrick (1.3)
He has been decent the last two weeks and has the Texans in Week 8.
Marc Bulger (2.1)
He has the Lions in Week 8, which is about the only thing he has going for him.
Kerry Collins (7.6)
Chad Henne (6.1)
Matthew Stafford (5.1)
Once Stafford gets back on the field, he will be somewhat startable in some formats, though he may be w/o Calvin Johnson for a while.
Derek Anderson (2.2)
Josh Johnson (2.1)

Beanie Wells (49.4)
It finally looks like Wells is starting to take over in Arizona. Or at least he’s getting consistent double-digit touches. Tim Hightower is still in on passing downs and much of the goal line work, but it appears that when the Cards want to actually gain some rushing yardage, they turn to Wells.
Shonn Greene (2.8)
Leon Washington is out for the year and Greene came in and destroyed the Raiders to the tune of 19 carries for 144 yards and two TD. Don’t expect him to go off like that every week, but he proved that he’s capable of producing in a time share.
Mike Bell (55.7)
He might be out there on your waiver wire, and is looking like a solid every-week play in most formats. He’s the Saints’ clear goal-line option and has 27 carries over the last two weeks. He might be the best fantasy play in the NO backfield.
Jamaal Charles (3.9)
This has more to do with Larry Johnson’s decision to bad-mouth his coach on Twitter than anything Charles has actually done to earn playing time. Todd Haley might punish LJ and give Charles a shot.
Justin Fargas (8.0)
He ran hard and was far more productive than Michael Bush.
Correll Buckhalter (47.9)
Sammy Morris (46.2)
Given the Pats’ secretive ways, there’s no telling how long Morris will be out. But Laurence Maroney wasn’t exactly awe-inspiring against a pretty suspect Bucs’ defense, so if Morris comes back soon, he’ll probably be the RB1 in New England again.
Kevin Faulk (7.6)
Justin Forsett (0.9)
He has no real value right now, but with Julius Jones struggling, the Seahawks might give him a shot to carry the load.
Michael Bush (24.0)

Hakeem Nicks (37.8)
Sure, his TD last night was on a tip ball, but that’s four scores in four games.
Austin Collie (51.7)
Has been on a tear of late and as long as Anthony Gonzalez is sidelined, he’s very startable. He may continue to see a good amount of snaps even as Gonzalez works his way back.
Lance Moore (52.3)
Michael Crabtree (35.3)
5-56 in his NFL debut isn’t bad for a guy that sat out half the season. He might be ready earlier than we thought.
Donnie Avery (49.9)
Caught a big-gainer but was otherwise quiet against the tough Colts’ secondary.
Josh Morgan (43.5)
Don’t look now, but in PPR formats, Morgan has gone for double-digits in three straight games. Alex Smith under center might help his stock.
Nate Washington (16.5)
He has some nice matchups coming off his bye week.
Jeremy Maclin (34.2)
Should see plenty of snaps with Kevin Curtis sidelined. As a rookie, he’ll have his ups and downs.
Mark Clayton (11.6)
Mohamed Massaquoi (13.6)
Looks great at times, but is going to be inconsistent in the Browns’ struggling offense.
Bobby Wade (2.6)
Not a bad guy to have in PPR formats.
Mike Wallace (5.9)
In PPR formats, he now has three double-digit fantasy efforts in seven games. As the Steelers’ WR3, he won’t be a consistent threat.
Devery Henderson (34.4)
Pierre Garcon (43.6)
James Jones (0.7)
He’s the Packers’ WR3 and has two TD in the last two weeks.
Earl Bennett (10.9)
Dennis Northcutt (3.1)
With Calvin Johnson sidelined, he’s serviceable in PPR leagues.
David Clowney (0.6)
He has some value as long as Jerricho Cotchery is sidelined.

Visanthe Shiancoe (54.9)
Didn’t score a TD this week, but Favre loves to throw to his TE around the goal line, so he’s always a threat.
Tony Scheffler (18.6)
Tore it up in Week 6, but has a couple of tough matchups in Weeks 8 and 9.
Fred Davis (0.3)
Davis takes over for Chris Cooley, who will miss the rest of the season with a broken foot. Davis is a good pass-catcher, but struggles in the blocking game. He posted 8-78-1 taking over for Cooley on Monday night.
Todd Heap (39.0)
Fred Davis (0.3)
Davis takes over for Chris Cooley, who will miss the rest of the season with a broken foot. Davis is a good pass-catcher, but struggles in the blocking game. He posted 8-78-1 taking over for Cooley on Monday night.
Benjamin Watson (25.6)
Kevin Boss (40.0)
Donald Lee (1.7)
Semi-startable with Finley out.
Jermichael Finley (30.5)
Looked great on his one catch against the Browns, but suffered a knee injury and could be out a while.
Bo Scaife (5.2)
Still an option in PPR leagues.
