Every week, I highlight a few players that you should target in waivers. I use the ESPN league data when filtering players, so the only players eligible for discussion here are those that are available on the waiver wire of at least 50% of ESPN’s leagues. I’ll list each player’s percentage-owned after their name so you have an idea of how available they are in leagues around the country. I’ll always try to mention a few players that are available in 90% of leagues for those of you in 12-team leagues or leagues with big rosters. I’ll rank them in the order I’d pick them up in a league with a high-performance, PPR scoring system.

Please note that these rankings are for total value through the end of the year. Players with particularly good matchups this week are in bold.

Mark Sanchez (45.1)
Sanchez posted his third-straight solid fantasy day. He’s averaging 202 yards and 1.3 TD per game in his young career. He can be trusted for fill-in duty.
Shaun Hill (8.5)
Hill is going to put up good fantasy numbers when the 49ers can’t run the ball down their opponent’s throat.
Jason Campbell (20.4)
Campbell is averaging 264 yards and 1.0 TD per game. He has a nice matchup next week against the Bucs.
Jake Delhomme (19.2)
Kerry Collins (10.7)
Matthew Stafford (6.7)
It’s probably not a good idea to roster Stafford in a league that penalizes INTs heavily, but he could be okay in deep leagues that don’t.
Seneca Wallace (0.3)
Kyle Boller (0.1)
It looks like Marc Bulger is going to be out for a while and Boller is a journeyman who could put up decent fantasy numbers since the Rams will be trailing most of the time.
JaMarcus Russell (9.9)
Chad Henne (0.3)

Glen Coffee (29.5)
With Frank Gore hobbled and a tasty matchup with the Rams in Week 4, Coffee will be this week’s hot waiver wire pickup. He didn’t do much against the Vikings (25 carries, 54 yards), but he was the clear workhorse and we should expect similar numbers next week.
Tashard Choice (8.0)
He figures to split time with Felix Jones (assuming Jones can go) as long as Marion Barber is out. Update: Jones is out for Week 4, so if Barber is still hobbled, Choice would be a great play.
Jerome Harrison (0.6)
We all thought James Davis was going to get the lion’s share of the carries with Jamal Lewis out, but it was Jerome Harrison who received 21 touches (for 85 yards). Don’t expect much from the Browns, but he is a starting RB right now and that’s worth something, especially in PPR leagues where Harrison will rack up a few points in garbage time.
Correll Buckhalter (38.0)
The Broncos’ running game is going and Buckhalter has always been an underrated back that produced when he had the chance (and could stay healthy).
Michael Bush (33.3)
Maurice Morris (1.5)
Kevin Smith left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury and Morris’s value is heavily dependent on how long Smith will be out. Rookie Aaron Brown could also play a role.
Rashard Mendenhall (40.3)
He had a shot to steal the job, but he put in a poor week of practice and didn’t get any carries against the Bengals.
Justin Forsett (2.4)
His increasing role hit a wall on Sunday as it turned into The Julius Jones Show. As long as JJ is productive and the Seahawks are competitive, Forsett probably won’t get too many touches.

If Steve Smith (66.8), Mario Manningham (77.7) or Donnie Avery (70.4) are on your waiver wire, pick them up first, in that order. Smith and Manningham are tearing it up and Avery should be forced into a lot of action with Laurent Robinson out for the year.

Nate Burleson (36.6)
Burleson is on pace for 106 catches. He’s not going to get there, but still, he’s on pace. He’s definitely worth rostering as he’s been the Seahawks’ most productive receiver to date.
Mike Sims-Walker (6.5)
12-187-1 over the last two weeks. Sims-Walker looks like the Jags’ WR1.
Pierre Garcon (2.7)
Garcon’s long-term value is probably limited with A. Gonzalez probable return, but two TD in two weeks is no joke.
Davone Bess (1.9)
Bess has 17 catches through three weeks, and that makes him a decent WR3 in PPR formats.
Nate Washington (12.9)
The Titans have to throw the ball more since they can’t stop the pass, and Washington has 6-61-2 over the last two weeks.
Johnny Knox (20.3)
Knox saw a big drop in targets from the previous week, so it doesn’t look like it’s a certainty that he’ll be able to usurp Earl Bennett as the Bears’ WR2.
Louis Murphy (13.3)
Murphy has a lot of upside, but won’t be consistent week-to-week with JaMarcus Russell playing as inconsistently as he is.
Bryant Johnson (0.6)
After posting a goose egg in Week 2, Johnson bounced back with 4-73-1 against the Redskins. He will probably be inconsistent week to week as the WR2 for a rookie QB.
Chansi Stuckey (12.2)
Sidney Rice (5.7)
7-85-1 over the last two weeks – is he finally tapping into all of that potential? The Vikings are a run-first team, and they don’t really have a true WR1 with Rice, Bernard Berrian and Percy Harvin sharing the targets.
Kelley Washington (0.5)
9-124-1 over the last two weeks is nice, but the Ravens are run-oriented, and have a couple of other capable WRs. Can he keep it up?
Jacoby Jones (0.3)
4-96-2 over the last two weeks represents good production, but with Kevin Walter back, Jones will probably be pretty spotty week-to-week.
Bobby Wade (2.1)
He’s not going to set the world on fire, but he’s a spot starter in PPR leagues.
Mark Bradley (1.7)
He figures to get most of the down-the-field work with Dwayne Bowe out, but Bowe shouldn’t be out for long.
Mark Clayton (19.3)
Michael Jenkins (9.8)
12 catches through three weeks makes Jenkins a decent PPR player.
Muhsin Muhammad (34.4)
Andre Caldwell (0.6)
He has 14 catches through three weeks and is ahead of Chris Henry right now as the Bengals WR3.
Earl Bennett (24.6)
Antwaan Randle El (22.0)
Isaac Bruce (16.0)
Austin Collie (0.6)
After his uninspiring 1-4 performance in Week 2, Collie posted 3-47 in Week 3. There are just too many weapons in the Indy offense to support four WRs (counting Dallas Clark).
Chris Henry (17.1)
We keep waiting for Henry to “get healthy” so he can be a factor in the Cincy passing game, but right now Andre Caldwell is the Bengals’ WR3.
Keenan Burton (1.3)
Figures to see an increase in targets with Laurent Robinson done for the year.
Julian Edelman (0.9)
Edelman couldn’t repeat his stellar Week 2 PPR performance.
Joey Galloway (15.1)
He and Brady aren’t in synch, but he’s the Pats’ WR2 with Welker out.

Brent Celek (30.9)
I think 7.3-82-0.7 from a tight end merits a pickup. Celek is killing people and he’s the clear first or second option in the Eagles’ pass-happy offense. I doubt you could do better for your backup TE. He’s definitely starter-quality.
Vernon Davis (8.5)
Davis will be a hot pickup this week after a terrific Week 3, but I’d much rather have Celek. The 49ers just don’t throw the ball enough to keep Davis consistent.
Todd Heap (42.5)
Dante Rosario (0.2)
He’s baaaaaaaack. Last year’s Week 1 wonder has caught at least three passes and a TD in each of the last two weeks.
Heath Miller (19.5)
Visanthe Shiancoe (44.8)
Ben Watson (35.8)
Brandon Pettigrew (8.3)
Alge Crumpler (0.7)
He has caught four passes each of the past two weeks and appears to be the guy with Bo Scaife sidelined.
