Len Pasquarelli has just become the official voice of many Houston Texan fans. The ESPN.com columnist voiced his opinion over the Texans decision to go with Mario Williams over Reggie Bush. And he didn’t hold much back.
Ladies and gentlemen, your Houston Texans, an outfit that might do better were Mr. Magoo executing its lottery selections. Hand out the darts, folks, and take cover. Even quarterback David Carr, throwing from his back, which is where he has been for most of his four seasons in Houston, has better aim than his bosses.
In other words, Pasquarelli’s not a fan of the move.
Some teams try to exercise foresight with such threshold football decisions. Houston, on the other hand, apparently makes them blindfolded.
It appears that neither money nor his recent off the field headlines are the prime reason Bush isn’t on his way to the Lone Star State. Apparently, this was a football only decision.
According to Pasquarelli, the Texans just plain stopped negotiating with Bush after 2:00pm Thursday, which is interesting considering that several media outlets were reporting that the talks were still going on today.
