Chris — Sims-Walker has a great matchup but last week’s performance against a terrible Titans pass D is a little worrisome. I’d bench him.
Dave D — I’d recommend Nicks and Moats, unless Westy is a scratch. Then I’d go with McCoy.

Should I keep what I have and sit tight? I was thinking of dropping Boss for Walter or RB. Also, do you think its good idea to start Housh and Burleson? Not sure about putting all my eggs in one basket. What would you do?
I currently have Kurt Warner and due to his poor performance in week 8 I have been offered a trade of Favre for Roddy White or Palmer for Roddy white. My other receivers are Hines Ward, Driver and Steve Smith (carolina) I also have Michael Turner and Addai and Bradshaw as my starters. I will keep Kurt Warner on the bench but I need a stronger QB to win. WHo would you pick? Palmer or Favre?

All right, lots to get to…
Pradeep — Both the Falcons and 49ers look like nice plays this week. I lean ATL. (DTBWW)
Evan — I’d go with Rodgers, Welker, Austin, Sims-Walker, MJD, Addai, Stover, and SEA (which I listed on my DTBWW).
desithuggin — K. Smith and Hightower look like your most dependable and best starts.
Randy — who’s out there on waivers? both of those options are pretty ugly, but Faulk is startable if it’s a PPR league.
DaKid — Ochocinco, Colston and Austin are hot. Both Hester and Mason would be okay too, but I wouldn’t bench any of the first three I listed.
Ken — Romo and Flacco are very close. I’d go with Flacco who has the better matchup. At RB, Forte and Moreno are probably your best bets unless Westy sits. In that case you could start McCoy. I think you should pick up Housh, probably cut Maclin. You need to try to make a trade for a RB. Your only solid guy is Forte and you have plenty of WRs. I’d start Jennings, Mason and Smith.

Scorpion — Sims-Walker (and Garrard) was a huge disappointment last week against the Titans. I’d go with DeSean, who has a pretty nice matchup and is pretty hot of late. I’d start Smith in the flex. DEN is probably you’re best play. They’ve been pretty solid all year and should be able to get to Big Ben a few times.
Texas — You don’t need Boss or Warner now that Peyton and Miller are past their byes. I’d grab Breaston and Walter. I’d start Breaston over Burleson if Boldin doesn’t play. Otherwise the lineup looks good.
Lauren — Don’t trade Roddy White. There is a lot of depth at QB and this guy is trying to sucker you into making a trade when you don’t need to. Which QBs are available on your waiver wire? Of the two, I’d rather have Favre, so offer up Ward, Driver or S. Smith (CAR) and see if the guy bites. Any of those guys would be fair value for Favre. (Make sure you mention that he’s an injury risk and that there’s a lot of depth at the QB position.)
Carter — I’d go with Ochocinco and Austin. It’s tough to bench Marshall, but he has a bad matchup. I’d go with the DEN DT this week.
Jerm — They’re all studs, so I’d go with the best matchups: Fitz & Jackson.
Raj — Grab Westy. I’d hold onto Berrian and Crabtree.
Pradeep — Bowe. And yes, you can cut Q for Braylon, but is there anyone else you can cut?

Raj — Slaton looks like he will split time with Moats going forward, and I’d rather have Westy for the stretch run. Ideally, I’d hold onto Slaton and pick up Westy, but that wasn’t an option you gave me.
Need help.What Defense to play JAC CHI or CIN this week
What’s your feeling on carrying backups that you will only ever use if a player gets injured?
I’ve got Peyton Manning and Joe Flacco. Manning’s bye is already past. The only way I’m ever benching Manning is if he’s injured, or conceivably if the Colts rest him in week 17.
Is it worth hanging onto a backup QB under the circumstances? It’s a 12 team league so there’s not a ton available on waivers, but the following are there:

Correll Buckhalter (I have Moreno)
Jeremy Maclin
Mike Bell (I have Thomas)
Laurence Maroney
Lineup includes Romo, Flacco, E. Manning, Forte, Mccoy, moreno, jennings, D. Mason, S. Smith(NYG), Houshmanzadeh, J. Maclin. 10 Team PPR league. I have been trying to make a trade for a RB as you suggest but I can’t get anyone to bite. I offerred forte and D. Mason for Cedric Benson and the Benson owner is stacked at RB. Any suggestions for who I might target with what I have? I know its tuff not knowing other roster situations but any ideas would be great. Thanks!

DaKid — Of those three, I think CHI is the play. At home versus a QB who struggled mightily the last time out.
snd_dsgnr — I think Bell, Maclin and Maroney should be rostered in most 12-team leagues, depending on roster size. I am not big on holding onto a backup like Flacco when you have the durable Manning as your starter. Since you have Pierre, I’d recommend cutting Flacco for Bell. If Bell/Pierre go down again, you’ll have an every-week starter at RB. Is your championship game in Week 17? If so, it does make some sense to hold onto Flacco because it’s fairly likely that the Colts will be in a position to sit Peyton that week. But Flacco has a fairly tough matchup (OAK) that week, so you are just as likely to find a good QB to start on the WW.
Ken — I wouldn’t trade Forte away. I’d look for someone that is stacked at RB and hurting at WR, and offer up Moreno + a WR for a fringe RB1/RB2 type (Westbrook, K. Smith, Addai, R. Brown, T. Jones). I’d rather see you trade Housh than Mason.
Dave D — I’d go with Nicks who has been more productive of late. Neither guy has a good matchup. Your RBs look fine. At DT, I’d stick with PHI DT. They are the top defense this year and the Giants have been struggling offensively.
brian — Assuming this is not a PPR league, I’d run J. Jones and Barber out there. If it is a PPR league, I’d go with Smith and Burleson.

Probably the toughest decisions for me yet. Please review my thoughts/concerns.

QB – A Rodgers
RB1 – Here we go. I have Slaton. This one is a tough pill to swallow.
Thoughts:
1. Moats ran against a poor ranked run defense (last). There’s no doubt in my mind Slaton would have done the same if he had not fumbled – first time I have seen the O-line create holes that large.
2. He’s too good of a receiver to not particiapte – especially with Daniels out and enevitably A Johnson will get even more Def attention.
3. Potentially, Houston may need to play catch-up with Indy’s potent offense. The running game may go…leaving Slaton opportunities.
Concern:
All the above do not mean much if the coach lost confidence in Slaton and more importantly if Slaton lost confidence in himself.
RB2 – J Addai
Concern: Brown is back
RB options – J Charles
WR1 – A Johnson
Concern: He gets attention already. Even more with Daniels out?
WR2 – D. Jackson
Concern: mot a PPR friendly receiver – but damn he’s fun to watch!
WR options – Sims-Walker, D. Bowe
TE – V Davis or Heath Miller?
Def – Pitt
K – I picked up K Brown (Feely on BYE)
concern: too many players on one team – I have been burnt (my one loss) because of this. Stover looks appealing.

Caroline — I don’t know what your roster requirements are. # of RBs? WRs? Flex? Brees, Gore, H. Miller, Ochocinco, Burleson, Sims-Walker are all good starts.
Lauren — I wouldn’t have made that deal either, but good luck to you. I think Warner will be fine over the last half.
Bren — I lean Austin. He’s been on fire lately.
bUngtUnger — Grant and Pierre have very good matchups this week.
Brian — I agree with you about Slaton, but I’d like to see how they use him going forward before trusting him. Charles has a great matchup and is worth a shot and Donald Brown didn’t practice on Friday and is questionable, so Addai is a nice start too. At WR, you probably have four of the top 15 WRs this week. I’d go with Bowe and Jackson due to excellent matchups. Vernon Davis and Heath Miller are about the same, but Davis has been hot with Smith under center and SF has the better passing matchup.
Randy — Ride the hot hand…Miles Austin.
Alex — Bowe, Mason and Housh…go with the vet over the rookie. At RB, I like DeAngelo and Pierre. At your flex, Maclin looks like your best bet.

WR: I currently have Ochocinco, Miles Austin, and Dallas Clark starting in my WR/TE position. On the bench I have S. Smith (nyg), steve smitch (car), and N. Burleson. Should I keep my current lineup?

Caroline — Brees, Gore, Hightower, Ochocinco, Burleson, Sims-Walker, Miller, Gostkowski. I don’t see a defense in your question.
Alex — I wouldn’t cut Warner. He has a nice schedule ahead of him and will probably bounce back from a bad game. Sanchez and Cassel are close, but Sanchez’s schedule is superior, so I’d hold onto him.
Matt — I’d go with Ricky. I don’t know what HOU is going to do with Slaton, so I’d avoid it if I can. Ricky doesn’t have a great matchup, but Slaton’s isn’t much better. At WR, Burleson, both Steve Smiths and Clark are all very close, so go with your gut and stick with your initial picks.

I’m still really struggling over the flex position: I like Nicks because recently he’s been consistent, but keep struggling between Sims-Walker and McCoy. When they have good weeks, they’re great, but recently they’re so incredibly inconsistent. You still think Sims-Walker is best? Thanks!
Caroline K — Sims-Walker is a top 15 WR and has a nice matchup this week. There’s a report now that Westy isn’t going to play, so you could probably start either guy and be okay.
I don’t think it’s fair to call Sims-Walker inconsistent. He has had one bad week but has otherwise been terrific. If he lays an egg again this week against the Chiefs, then it’s time to start worrying.
John, I’m stuck on deciding on this trade. What would you do?
Trading AP and S.Smith(Car) for
Colston, Forte and Royal.
I really want to keep AP, ofcourse, but I would like to get more pts by trading for the right group of guys. I’m 3-5 in my league and need to turn it around.
Randy — Trading away your best player is not the answer. Hold onto Peterson. You’re not getting equal value with this trade. Royal is basically worthless so it’s really a Peterson + Smith for Colston + Forte swap and you’re getting the short end of the deal.
