Non ppr -
Rank the following for who you would want for the rest of the season
J Stewart CAR, R Williams MIA, R Mendenhall PIT, J Harrison CLE
Thanks!
Who’s the better starts this week. I need 3WR and 2RB. (Non-PPR) WR: Walter, Welker, Sims-Walker, Manningham, Marshall RB: MJD, McGahee, Mendenhall Thanks
Or would Bernard Berrian be a better choice at WR then any of the above listed players. Thanks Again
I’m atop my league, sitting 4-0, but am nervous about this weeks matchup. In a PPR league that also awards 1pt for every 20 return yards and where you start 3WRs, 2RB’s TE, and Flex RB/WR/TE. I’ve been offered DeSean Jackson straight up for Darren Sproles. For RBs I have: Forte, DeAngeloWilliams, Rice, Bradshaw (and Sproles)
WRs: Housh, Welker, K. Walter, Manningham, Garcon
Should I stay pat or pull the trigger on the trade?
Can you add leon washington to that list as well. Thanks
GMC21 — It’s tough to predict which of these guys will have the most opportunity, but here it goes: Mendenhall, Washington, Harrison, Williams, Stewart. I’m mainly looking at the vulnerability of the guy playing ahead of these guys plus their own ability.
Evan — RB, I’d go with MJD and Mendenhall, unless it looks like Parker is going to play a LOT. If he makes a huge recovery this week, then sub in McGahee for Mendenhall. At WR, I’d go with Marshall and Sims-Walker for sure. Then it’s a tough call between Welker and Walter I think. I’d probably go Walter due to a better matchup. I’d put Berrian after Manningham.
Joe — I’d probably pull the trigger on that trade now that LT is back.
JP, which RB should I start this week?
I have Mendenhall, Hightower and Gore. Do you think Gore will be healthy enough to play? I only need to start 1 RB.
I have DeSean Jackson, Mike Sims-Walker and Steve Smith (Giant), Who should I start this week? I only need to start 1 WR.
And who in the above should I start for the W/R spot? Receiving yard score more point than rushing yard in our league.
T.Choice, Pierre Garcon and Michael Bush are available, is he worth picking up compare to what I have above?
JP,
Finally won my first game last week…Thanks! Ok…down to business…heres who I got..Who should I start and who should I pick up?. I’m thinking of dropping R. Bush for someone else..good move? This is a non PPR league.
Current roster
RB: T.Jones, P.Thomas, G.Coffee, R.Bush
WR: Burleson
TE: Winslow
Available on waiver:
RB: R.Williams, D.Brown, Cadillac, T.Choice, F.Taylor, A.Bradshaw, M.Bell, F.Jones, W. Parker, L.Johnson (KC)
WR:Garcon, Britt, Houshmanzada, S.Rice, N.Washington, K.Washington, M.Clayton (Bal),
TE: M.Lewis, Heap, Finley, S.Ryan, Olsen, Rosario, Miller,
Thanks!
Do you think Mendenhall and Mike Sims-Walker are one hit wonder?
What about Steve Smith, will Eli Manning’s injury affect his stock this week?
I have J.Scobee, other available Kickers are J.Hanson, D.Carpenter, S.Janikowski, R.Lindell, O.Mare, J.Feely and N.Rackers. Should I keep Scobee?
Add to the above, do you think Beanie Wells and Mewelde Moore would be better than Tim Hightower and Mendenhall?
Scorpion – I do not think Gore will be healthy enough to play, but I’d start him if he’s a full go (not limited). After that, Mendenhall has a great matchup against DET. If Willie Parker practices without limitations, then I’d go with Hightower. At WR, that’s a tough call, but Steve Smith has been tearing it up and deserves to start (assuming Eli is a go). DeSean Jackson is another great start. Ranking them all: Gore (if a full go), Smith, Mendenhall (if Parker is out or limited), Jackson, Sims-Walker, Hightower. I’d stick with the guys you have. I’d hold onto Mendenhall and Sims-Walker and definitely Smith. Scobee is a fine kicker this week. Last question, I’d stick with Hightower and Mendenhall right now.
Texas — I don’t know how many guys you need to start, but Thomas and Bush are on bye, so Coffee and T. Jones are reasonably solid at RB. At WR, I’d pick up Housh. At TE, I like Olsen more than Winslow, but Olsen is on bye this week.
In a 10 team PPR league and roster includes Romo, eli manning, T.Jones, T. Choice, A. Bradshaw, L. McCoy, S. Smith(NYG), D. Mason, K. Walter, P.Garcon. Need 2 backs, 2 WR, and a Flex. Who would you go with?
I need to start 2 of:
Mike Sims-Walker @Sea
DeSean Jackson vs TB
Anquan Boldin vs Hou
Jerome Harrison @Buf
I am in a non-PPR league. What would you do?
Thanks,
Pradeep
Thanks for the help last week.
Please help with the following (non-PPR):
WR (need 3): Garcon, Massaquoi, TO, Holmes, Burleson
RB (need 2): Moreno, Rice, Turner, Bradshaw
Thanks.
Do you feel Crabtree is worth grabbing of the waivers now that he’s back with the 49ers
Also, I currently have Kicker, John Carney…There’s talk of Hartley returning as the premier kicker. Should I grab him and drop Carney?
Ken — I prefer Eli this year, but with his foot and a tough matchup against OAK, I’m thinking that Romo would be the better play against the Chiefs. At RB, I guess I’d go with TJ and Choice, since Barber is still limited. At WR, I like Smith, Walter and Mason.
Anon — Hmmm. I think I’d start two of the three WRs. All three have good matchups — I’d probably go with Jackson and Boldin, given the matchups. Jackson faces TB, which is almost a must-start, and Boldin has a pretty nice matchup with HOU.
RJR — Geez…tough call. Holmes has DET, which should be a good matchup. TO seems to be on the slide, so I guess I’d avoid him (now he’ll probably blow up). How about Garcon and Massaquoi? At WR, I think I’d go Turner and Moreno, since Buckhalter is out. Rice has a tough matchup.
Kaya — It depends on your league setup, but I don’t think Crabtree is worth rostering in a redraft league unless it’s a deep league (12-14 teams with big rosters). He’s probably not going to be fantasy relevant this season unless he’s a quick study. He has a LOT of catching up to do. At K, I’d wait and see if Hartley does return. Or you could pick up a kicker from another team.
I need to start two WR:
Anquan Boldin vs HOU
Mike Sims-Walker vs SEA
Santana Moss vs CAR
best QB to start:
Mark Sanchez vs Mia
Matt Cassel vs Dal
1 TE:
Dustin Keller vs Mia
Todd Heap vs Cin
Marcedes Lewis vs Sea
I am in a league were only touchdowns get you points
thanks,
Zack
John,
I am having a tough time placing a roster this week…please advise:
PPR QB 2RB 2WR TE K Def
QB Rodgers – BYE. I couldn’t snag Garrard.
WW – Derek Anderson, Shawn Hill
Should I swing for the fence (Anderson) or bunt (Hill)?
RB1 – Slaton
RB2 – Addai
WW – Coffee, J Charles
My RB2 has been my biggest headache with RBBC – Tough matchup but it is a PPR and he has been solid thru 4. But Coffee’s 24 carries looked good – although he was not spectacular
WR1 – Andre Johnson
WR2 – Jackson
TE – Heath Miller or Vernon Davis?
I played Davis last week – did good but
Millers 27 points! (Sigh)
Flex – Sims-Walker OR McGahee OR Bowe?
K – Bironas or pickup Scobee?
Def – Pitt
As always thanks for the advice!
Brian
Non PPR
Pick 1
1. Eli Manning
2. Kurt warner
Pick 3
1. Steve smith (car)
2. Steve smith (nyg)
3. Roddy White
4. Santonio Holmes
5. Mark Clayton
49ers D , broncos D or bills D?
WHats your thoughts..?
tHANx
THANNNX
Should I stay with Denver’s D, or should I pick up one of these,
Buffalo, Arizona, Atlanta, San Francisco, NE, SD, Tennessee
I had rian lindell and he did not have a good games do you think i should go with
Neil Rackers vs Houston
Josh Scobee vs Sea
Dan Carpenter vs Jets
Thanks,
Chris
John Thanks. I got my first win last week! 1-3. San Fran 51 pts. Week 5- Start SF or Eagles? What is your top DTBWW this week?
New Orleans Defense is available in my 10 team PPR league. I have the Jets D now and like them for the year. Does it make any sense to grab another good defense? My roster includes Romo, eli manning, Forte, T.Jones, T. Choice, A. Bradshaw, L. McCoy, G Jennings, S. Smith(NYG), D. Mason, K. Walter, P.Garcon. I’m weak at back but can’t really strengthen that pos. by waiver and I like my receivers. Your thoughts please.
Hi JP,
Thanks as always for your help. This weeks matchup will be hard…currently 3-1 and playing a guy who is 3-1.
Okay here we go: non-ppr league
QB Pick 1
1) Brett Favre vs STL
2) Tom Brady vs Den
RB Pick 2
1) Ronnie Brown vs NYJ
2) Steven Jakson vs Min
3) Steve Slaton vs Ari
TE (Pick 1)
1) Brent Celek vs TB
2) Jason Witten vs KC
K
1) Neil Rakers vs Hou
2) Jeff Reed vs Det
Thankns as always!
Raj
All right, a lot to get to…
Zack — S. Moss has a rough matchup, so I’d go with Boldin and Sims-Walker. Cassel has a nice matchup with a suspect Dallas secondary and will probably have to throw to stay in the game. At TE, since this is a TD league, I think I’d go with Heap.
Brian — I like Hill. BUF played Brees tough at home earlier this year. I prefer Coffee slightly this week to Addai, but I wouldn’t cut Addai for him. You’re going to need him for the rest of the year and Coffee’s time in the spotlight is about to run out. I’d stick with Davis at TE. Heath is solid, but VD is having a nice year and is probably SF’s best passing option. I don’t think PIT will have to throw the ball much this week. Kind of a tough call between Sims-Walker and Bowe. Sims-Walker is hot right now, so I’d stick with him. At K, I like Scobee a little more this week.
Dennis — Eli is hobbled, has a bad matchup and may not even play, so I’d go with Warner. At WR, I’d go with both Smiths and White. Holmes has a nice matchup, but he doesn’t produce when the Steelers have an easy time running t
he ball, which should be the case against the Lions. I like the 49ers DT the best. They are playing great D right now.
Scorpion — I like the 49ers a little more. I’m not sure DEN’s DT is for real, though it’s possible that they are with the way they played against DAL. I don’t like the Broncos against Tom Brady, however.
Chris — I’d go with Scobee and Rackers over Lindell.
Seb — I like SF, but PHI at home versus Tampa is too good to pass up.
Ken — I like the Jets too and they have a great series of matchups coming up in Weeks 6-8. I don’t see the need for NO DT given your roster. There isn’t anyone worth cutting.
Raj — I like Favre this week, but I don’t see how you bench Brady. Neither has a good matchup, but Ronnie Brown is hot and Steven Jackson will get a ton of work. Slaton is great to have, but his matchup is just so-so this week. (Aren’t you glad you picked him up?) At TE, that’s a good problem to have. I’d go with Witten because…well…because he’s Jason Witten. At K, it really doesn’t matter — both guys should be playing in high scoring games. Flip a coin. (I’d go with Reed.)
Thanks JP, but SF is gone…
so, how would you rank these D,
Buffalo, Arizona, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, NE, SD, Tennessee against Denver?
I have C.Palmer as my QB this week, A.Rodger is on bye. But Cin is playing against Baltimore… should I pick up one of these instead or stick with Palmer?
T.Edwards, K.Kolb, M.Cassel, D.Anderson, M.Hasselbeck
Grab PIT. I favor Cassel slightly over Palmer. Better matchup (though Palmer’s isn’t bad, it’s just not good, like Cassel’s).
JP, do you think Sims-Walker (against Seahawk’s secondary at Seattle) is a better play than Steve Smith (against Raider’s secondary at NY) ? What’s Eli’s situation?
JP, Trade delemia for you….
My roster consist of (@ key positions):
QB: Schaub, Rothlisberger
RB: Tomlinson, P.Thomas, T.Jones, A.Bradshaw, R.Mendenhall, D.Ward
WR: R.Moss, Bouldin, L.Coles
I was offered a trade of:
J.Campbell, B.Jacobs, Steve Smith (Car or NY)
for Rothlisberger, Bouldin
Is this a deal I should make?
Would help me t/w as bye issues w/ LT & Thomas, health issues w/ Bradshaw & Ward, & Jones in a bad matchup, but long term, what is my best play? Do I stay solid @ QB, or hope LT regains some form, or give up QB security & WR talent to solidify my RB’s & add a lesser yet solid #2 WR? Also, I know S.Smith (NY) is on fire, but do you take him over S.Smith (Car)?
Scorpion — If Eli doesn’t play, then Sims-Walker should be the better start. If Eli plays, it’s tough to sit Smith given how well he has played in the first quarter of the season.
Zookeeper — You should be fine this week at RB with Mendenhall and Bradshaw (against OAK). I’m not that high on Brandon Jacobs (RB32), so you’d really be doing this trade for whichever Steve Smith you want. Right now, I prefer NYG to CAR by a bit, but Eli’s injury is throwing everything up in the air. I’d stand pat, especially since you’d be left with Schaub at QB and he isn’t the most durable of guys.
I think you have to go with Gonzalez. I know he posted a goose egg last time he played, but he’s far more consistent (usually) than Davis.
Woud you drop Mario Mannigham for Massquai ?
Thanks.
One more thing – I have Edwards starting this week because Rivers is on a bye – McNabb was just dropped and I have a high waiver spot – should I use it to pick up McNabb this week and start him?
Thanks again.
Dennis- im in the same boat this week.. im starting Gonzalez and im basically going on professional ratings there is really no good answer for this question it will be close though
Raj — I’d hold onto Manningham, but it’s close. One more good game out of Massaquai coupled with a so-so effort out of Manningham, and I’d make the move.
RJR — Yeah, McNabb is a great start this week against the Bucs.
heres my question im in a non ppr league and my RB’s are coffee, brown, mcgahee, jackson, hightower.i can start two and im feeling coffee for sure but i dont know who else to start? the the projections say hightower but the rankings say jackson.. please help..
also should i start one of these guys over sims welker?
PPr league…I have trouble finding a good DEF off the waiver wire this week.Your top 3 is already gone..Who should i pick up?
T-Man — I am thinking Coffee and Brown. Brown is hot right now and the Miami running game is really going. In a non-PPR league, I think I’d start S. Jackson over Sims-Walker.
Da Kid — Who’s out there?
JP
should i go wit Warner Hasselbak or campbell at QB
at Rb witch 3 should i start: CJ, jerome harrison, jamal lewis, deangelo williams, donal brown, tashard choice.
at WR i have TJ houzmanzadeh, derrick mason, bryant johson, kenny britt, lee evans and pierre garcon witch 3 should i start…its a PPR league
Alex — I’d go with Warner at QB. He should be your best play. At RB, start CJ, Harrison and DeAngelo. At WR, I’d go with Housh, Mason and Garcon.
In a 10 team ppr league. K. Walter or P. Garcon? T. Choice or A. Bradshaw?
Thanks.
who would u rather start this week?
pierre garcon or willis mcgahee?
o thats regarding there matchups this week…
garcon vs. titans
mcgahee vs. bengals
?
non ppr league
Hey John, QB start PPR
Flacco or Sanchez?
PPR league…Which 2 should i start this week? I have S.Jackson, Coffee,and M.Lynch
Also, which QB is a better start this week? McNabb or Eli
Im considering picking up ARIZONA DEF or CIN DEF in a PPR league.I already have CHI on a bye week.Should i drop CHI DEF for one of these DEF this week and keep working the waiver for the rest of the season? Cause im pretty sure once i drop CHI, someone in my league will grab them up.
Ken — I’d go with Walter and Choice.
Primetime — Since it’s non-ppr, McGahee would have a better chance to score.
Seb — Easy call for me…Flacco.
Kaya — Coffee and Jackson. Still waiting for the BUF RB situation to sort itself out.
Da Kid — ARI has the better matchup, though CIN is a little better defensively. Of those two, I’d go with ARI. Not sure what to tell you w/o knowing who else you could drop from your roster. If MIA or WAS is available, I’d pick them up over ARI.
garcon, washington or manningham to start in week 5. have wayne as my first.
garcon, washington or manningham to start in week 5. have wayne as my first. oh and I have massaquoi as and option need to pick two more receivers.
Would you trade G. Jennings for Ronnie Brown?
out of these three rb’s i need to start two….who should i start
thanks john!
how bout mcgahee or derrick mason?
i dont know if mason is a risk this week knowing hes a bit injured…
My roster PPR..
QB: Eli,Brees, McNabb
WR: Colston,OchoCinco,Bryant,Lee Evans,Crabtree
RB: S.Jackson,Coffee,P.Thomas,Lynch
TE:Witten
K:Carney
DEF: CHICAGO
CHI is on BYE….Need A Defense to pick up this week, your top 3 DEF for this week is gone.Who to get and who to drop?
who would be a better start this week??
garcon or houshmandzadeh??
and would u put either one in the flex spot where i have mcgahee at right now?
or leave mcgahee?
thx!
Dave D – PPR? Which Washington? Help me out here. I like Garcon and Massoquoi over N.Washington or K.Washington this week.
Ken – I would, but it depends on the rest of my roster.
joe bob – I can’t read your mind, man.
primetime – In a non-PPR league I think McGahee is a better bet because he has a better chance of scoring a TD.
Da Kid – You don’t need Crabtree. He’s probably not going to be much of a fantasy player this year. I wouldn’t run the risk of losing the Bears. ARI has the better matchup, though CIN is a little better defensively. Of those two, I’d go with ARI. If MIA or WAS is available, I’d pick them up over ARI.
jerm – I prefer Housh to Garcon, and I wouldn’t replace McGahee in a non-PPR league.
Hey JP,
I lost last week. Now I have pick a 3WR going forward b/c I dropped Mario Mannigham. Which of the 3 WRs do you like the most.
Kevin Walter
Hakeem Nicks
Eddie Royal
Antonia Bryant
THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP.
