Pacman skips questioning with police

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, DeKalb County police are trying to get in touch with Pacman Jones to question him about his involvement in a recent shooting outside a nightclub in Atlanta. Apparently Pacman is too busy these days to meet with the police, however.

“What we’ve heard [from his lawyer] is that he is in Tennessee on the practice field, so we’re trying to coordinate when he would come back to Atlanta,” said Keisha Williams, a DeKalb police spokeswoman.

What practice? The dude has been suspended for the entire year. What is he practicing with some youth football players in a local park or something? Does he or his cockamamie lawyer have any clue how reality works or do they think they’re just living in some dream world?

Johnson prepared for hold out

Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson is apparently ready to hold out of training camp if he doesn’t receive a new contact.

Before criticizing yet another athlete threatening to hold out for more money, consider that Johnson may be on point. He’s set to make only $1.7 million this year, which is well below market value for a guy that is still only 27, and handles the full running load every season. When you factor in how the Chiefs are normally pretty thrifty, Johnson has the right to find out whether the team he virtually carried on his back to the postseason last year is committed to him.

Pacman officially charged

Tennessee Titans resident moron Adam “Pacman” Jones has been officially charged with two counts of felony coercion in the February shooting at a Las Vegas strip club that left one man paralyzed from the waist down and a woman shot in the face.

These charges are not related to the most recent trouble Pacman finds himself in, which of course has to deal with another strip club, more anger and yet again, more guns.

And this guy wanted Roger Goodell to cut down on his 16-game suspension? Goodell should without a doubt add more games…like a career-worth of games.

UPDATE: Pacman plans to plead not guilty of course.

Pacman involved in another shooting?

Per reports from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones is wanted for questioning in a shooting that took place early Monday morning outside a strip club in Atlanta. According to the report, two groups of men started arguing outside the club and someone in Jones’ vehicle opened fire on the other vehicle. No one was hit by any bullets and thus far, nobody has been charged.

Fantastic, Pacman may be in trouble again. To give him credit, he waited over a month after being suspended for the entire 2007 NFL season to allegedly get in trouble again. Are you kidding me? He gets racked for a year by Roger Goodell and then turns around and winds up in trouble again a month later? Why isn’t this guy at home on a freaking Sunday night like the rest of the human race? Please, Mr. Goodell, the NFL doesn’t need this guy to survive. If he was yet again involved in another incident, kick his ass out of the league and serve league-wide warning to all players that if they act up, they’re gone too. Playing in the NFL should be a privilege, not a right to those talented enough to play.

I wonder if the national media is going to lambaste Pacman like they’ve been doing to Michael Vick.
