The Marshawn Lynch-hit and run story just got a little more interesting as a witness to the crime says Lynch was behind the wheel of his SUV when it struck a woman last weekend.

A source, who asked not to be identified, tells Channel 2 that investigators have four witnesses that say Lynch was driving.

Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark would not confirm that information, but did say that investigators continue to follow a number of leads as they build their case. He also says those involved in the probe are looking into the possibility other Bills players were inside the vehicle involved in the hit and run.

According to the police report, the SUV was driving westbound on Chippewa and turning left to go south on Delaware when it hit a female pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street. Police confirm there was front end damage to the car, and the report says a broken off piece of the car was recovered at the scene and turned in as evidence.

If Lynch is avoiding investigators, he only looks guiltier than he already does. He would be better served to either fess up for the incident now or claim his innocence.

Another interesting thing to think about is whether or not more Bills players were in the car. That would certainly add a twist to this story now wouldn’t it?

Bills’ running back Marshawn Lynch might be in some hot water after an SUV registered in his name was involved in a hit and run early Saturday morning, and then was found parked in his driveway.

“I think it’s fair to say that, if Mr. Lynch was not driving the vehicle, he probably has a pretty good idea who was,” Buffalo police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge said Tuesday, following a news conference at Police Headquarters.

“At no point has Mr. Lynch reported his vehicle had been stolen that police are aware of,” he added.
The victim suffered two large bruises near her hip and received seven stitches.

Sources said one police officer, who is regularly assigned to the Chippewa detail, recognized the Cayenne as the SUV that Lynch previously has driven in the area. The officer was among the witnesses who identified Lynch’s SUV, placing it at the scene of the accident, sources said.

DeGeorge would only describe Lynch as “a key figure” in what he called a fairly typical hit-and-run probe.

So, either Lynch or someone he knows hit a woman with an SUV and then parked it in Lynch’s driveway? And it’s not enough to hit a woman with a truck, but you/they had to leave her to fend for herself after the accident? Yeah, that sounds about right.

Rob Parker and the always brutal Skip Bayless argued about the NFL partially reinstating Pacman Jones on ESPN’s “First Take” on Tuesday afternoon. Parker felt as though the partial reinstatement was bogus and Pacman should either be completely allowed back in the league or not at all, while Bayless thought he shouldn’t be reinstated period.

Personally, I think it’s a great idea. This clown has messed up on numerous occasions and I don’t think anyone can vehemently argue that he absolutely, positively deserves to play in the NFL again. Roger Goodell did the smart thing by essentially saying, “Okay Pacman, you’re a screw up and I know it. However, you haven’t screwed up in a while so I’m going to dangle the possibility of returning to the NFL in front of your face. Prove to me that you’re the screw up I know you are and I never have to let you back into my league again. On the rare chance you don’t screw up, you can play football again, but if you so much as jaywalk, I’ll find out and you’re done.”

This buys Goodell more time to see if Pacman has really cleaned up his act (doubtful),and it also keeps the Player’s Union at bay by opening the door for him to return again. I like the move.
