Las Vegas police have made an arrest in a robbery and assault case involving Raiders’ wide receiver Javon Walker.

Lt. Clinton Nichols said Tuesday that 30-year-old Arfat Fadel is suspected of multiple felonies including kidnapping and robbery. Police said Fadel was arrested Friday and police were looking for a second suspect.

Nichols said police believe the second man is still in Las Vegas.

He said the 29-year-old Walker got into a vehicle with the two men early June 16 before he was found beaten and unconscious on a side street near the Las Vegas Strip.

Walker told police $3,000 in cash and about $100,000 in jewelry were taken.

This story makes a little more sense than Walker claiming he was just chillin’ in his hotel room and bunch of guys came, beat the crap out of him and left him unconscious on some street. I don’t get why Walker lied, though. He was going to be the victim of the story no matter what, so why lie about being dragged out of his hotel room? Because he didn’t want to look like the fool that got into a car with a couple of guys that robbed him and served him up the beating of a lifetime? Strange story.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Javon Walker’s abduction story doesn’t add up.

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was seen entering a car under his own power at the Bellagio the morning he was found beaten and unconscious, it was learned Friday.

Walker was found in a pool of blood around 7:30 a.m. Monday about a block east of Las Vegas Boulevard. The Hard Rock Hotel has confirmed Walker left Body English nightclub sometime after 3 a.m., after spraying clubgoers with champagne.

Walker also was seen at an after-party in the Hard Rock’s penthouse suite.

A Hard Rock public relations representative said the hotel had no information on when Walker left the property.

“I was just back at my room, and at about 5:30 in the morning,” Walker told TheDirty.com, “I got a knock at the door. I opened it, and three guys with guns were there. They cracked me in the head a few times, knocking me unconscious. They then robbed me of everything I had; my watch, money, everything. Somehow they got me to a car and dropped me off in the street. That’s what happened.”

It’s kind of hard to be abducted from your hotel room by three guys with guns when you’re seen getting into a car under your own power. Something has smelled funny about this story since it broke.

According to Newschannel 5 in Tennessee, Titans’ defensive end Jevon Kearse was arrested for DUI early Sunday.

Around 4:45 Sunday morning Vanderbilt police said Kearse was speeding and swerving several times while travelling west on West End Avenue. The officer who pulled the Titans over said Kearse exhibited slurred speach, red eyes, and smelled of alcohol.

The officer said Kearse stated that he only had one vodka and a red bull.

A Vanderbilt police officer said, he noticed a Cadillac Escalade swerving in and out of lanes traveling west, going at least 40 miles an hour in the 30 mile an hour zone. And a statement from Vanderbilt police said, “The officer had reasonable grounds to believe the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver submitted to field sobriety tests, which indicated he was impaired. He refused to take a breathalyzer test.”

According to Vanderbilt police, Kearse had two passengers. Kearse was booked Sunday morning, but was later released. According to Vanderbilt police, he released the Escalade to one of the passengers. A member of Titans’ security drove Kearse away Sunday morning. He will have to appear in court to face DUI charges.
