Beefed up Tiger

Deadspin.com posted an interesting blog on how huge Tiger Woods looks these days. While the site doesn’t accuse Tiger of doping, it does make note how the PGA has decided to drug test its golfers all of a sudden. Is it just a coincidence or is the PGA suddenly worried its superstar may be enhancing his game illegally?

Personally, I don’t know why Tiger would feel the need to do roids anyway, since the guy already is a freak of nature without any help. I think he just decided to bulk up for the sake of getting into better shape.

Couch Potato Alert (9/22)

After last weekend’s huge college football lineup, where there were seven intra-Top 25 matchups, this week is a bit of a letdown. Still, there are some good games on tap, including the PSU/OSU tilt and the Bullz-Eye College Football Game of the Week featuring Notre Dame battling Michigan St. On Sunday, there are several good NFL early in the day, with the Bengals/Steelers, Jags/Colts and the Bears/Vikings squaring off at 1 PM. It should be a great scene in New Orleans, as the Saints return to the Superdome Monday night for the first time since Hurricane Katrina. They face the Falcons, and the winner will be in first place in the NFC South.

Tiger’s much awaited comeback

Tiger will be making his anticipated return to the links this weekend for the U.S Open after a nine-week hiatus due to the death of his father, Earl. It’s going to be a tough weekend for Woods considering he will be celebrating his first Father’s Day without his father. However, now that Tiger has had time to relax, spend time with those close to him, and re-focus, he may come back stronger than ever.

Tiger’s father was his rock and taught him everything he needed to know about the game of golf. Tiger is a pretty built individual physically, but may be much stronger between the ears. One of his greatest qualities is his mental toughness and that is definitely going to come into play in this weekend’s U.S Open. Before and after every shot Tiger will probably be spiritually talking things over with his dad. His father has been his mentor all his life and will undoubtedly be guiding him this weekend. Tiger could have returned to play in golf tournaments much earlier but chose to sit out until he was completely ready. Will his father’s divine presence carry him to his third U.S Open victory?

Tiger will be teeing off at 1:25 pm Thursday and 7:55 am Friday.
