Are the Bulls nuts? Practically everyone is ripping the deal sending Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves. You have a superstar player with several years left on his contract, and you don’t get a superstar or a haul of assets in return? Bulls fans have to be furious.
Meanwhile, Minnesota fans get the perfect addition to a young, talented team. Players like Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony Towns need to learn how to play defense, and Butler is the perfect two-way player to help Tom Thibodeau create a defensive culture in Minnesota.

Sports fans aren’t always the easiest person to give gifts to. Many of them are collectors, so they may already have the sports memorabilia or item you’re planning on buying. They can be very finicky too. You would not want to give a Kevin Durant Golden State Warrior jersey to a diehard Oklahoma Thunder fan, or to a Cleveland Cavaliers fan for that matter. That’s just asking for trouble.
Entering the Conference semis of the NBA finals, there have been very few surprises other than the Utah Jazz upsetting the Los Angeles Clippers. During the first round, it became very apparent that the Golden State Warriors have put injuries behind them (see Kevin Durant and Head Coach Steve Kerr) and look poised to claim its second championship in three years. With all due respect for the upstart Boston Celtics, the San Antonio Spurs, the Houston Rockets and defending Champ Cleveland Cavaliers, the Warriors are playing at an elite level and figure to do so as long as Durant remains healthy.
The favorite won again at the Kentucky Derby. Always Dreaming won the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs as jockey John Velazquez ran a beautiful race on a very sloppy track. Trainer Todd Pletcher got his second career Kentucky Derby win. It rained all weekend but the skies cleared in time for the race.
Always Dreaming is unbeaten as a 3-year-old, so let’s see if we have another legitimate Triple Crown contender.
