After patrolling Jacksonville’s secondary for eight seasons, the Jaguars have decided to release stalwart safety Donovin Darius according to Rotoworld.com.

Before a torn ACL and a broken leg limited him to just 12 games over the past two seasons, Darius was the rock of Jacksonville’s defense. However, the team has three younger and cheaper options in Gerald Sensabaugh as well as rookies Reggie Nelson and Josh Gattis. At only 31, however, Darius still should get some looks on the open market.
