– The Colts are usually stout against the pass, but Derrick Mason (9-142) took advantage of a couple of injuries en route to a big day.
– Pierre Garcon (6-108) had a big day for the Colts, but where was Austin Collie (1-15)?
– Mohamed Massaquoi (5-115-1) had his first good game in four weeks.
– Michael Crabtree (4-77-1) had a couple of nice catches against a pretty good Packer secondary.
– Calvin Johnson (7-161-1) destroyed the Browns’ secondary.
– Greg Jennings (5-126-1) had a nice game that included a terrific 64-yard catch and run.
– Welcome to the 2009 NFL season, Terrell Owens (9-197-1).
– Surprisingly, Mike Sims-Walker (8-91-1) had a very nice day against a pretty stingy Bills pass defense.
– With Dwayne Bowe out, Chris Chambers (4-119) was once again the main man in the Kansas City passing game.
– Sidney Rice (6-89-2) shook off a leg injury on his first TD catch to score again in the fourth quarter.
– Roddy White (4-45) had a quiet game against the Giants, and was actually outgained by Michael Jenkins (6-76).
– Mario Manningham (6-126) led the Giants in receiving, though both Steve Smith (4-79) and Hakeem Nicks (5-65) were involved.
– Robert Meachem (2-10-2) only had two catches, but they were both for scores.
– Donnie Avery (4-65) and Brandon Gibson (5-61) put up decent PPR numbers against the Cards.
– The normally consistent Steve Breaston posted a goose egg against the Rams. Thanks, Steve. Anquan Boldin (8-103-1) and Larry Fitzgerald (8-87-1) both had nice games.
– The Broncos’ passing game was pretty awful against the Chargers. Brandon Marshall (3-26) and Eddie Royal (4-29) really couldn’t get it going.
– Wes Welker (15-192) dominated the Jets’ secondary. Randy Moss (5-34-1) scored, but was otherwise pretty quiet.
– Jerricho Cotchery (3-84-1) was far more productive than Braylon Edwards (1-10). Cotch had eight targets, while Edwards had five.
Check back in a bit for the RB and QB positions.
