Coach Z’s scouting report: Too small, too slow, too streaky… these labels are applied to any non-athlete that enters the league… can rebound it without jumping and can make shots when it counts… good low post passer… if he remakes his body he could become an All-Star, if not he’ll be a solid 10-year player… ability to rebound and pass will make him an asset on any team…

Crap. Crap. Crap. I was hoping he’d slip to Milwaukee, but it wasn’t to be. He’s lost a ton of weight since the season ended and tested a lot better than expected at the combine. (He has a 35″ vertical, folks). He is extremely skilled and knows how to play the game. His outlet passing will do wonders for the Grizzlies’ up-tempo attack. I’m really bummed right now.

The Knicks are next up. Mike D’Antoni wants a guard who can push tempo, but with Mayo and Westbrook off the board, it’s not clear if they’ll settle on Jerryd Bayless. Joe Alexander and Danillo Gallinari have also been mentioned as possibilities here.
