– The Panthers cut running back DeShaun Foster. The team tried to shop him over the past few days, but apparently the market was light for a back that has a bloated salary and trouble staying on the field.
– The Patriots decided not to use their franchise tag on wide receiver Randy Moss. The Boston Globe speculates that Moss and the Pats have already reached an agreement on a multi-year deal, but nothing can be announced until February 29 when free agency officially starts.
– The Bears won’t use their franchise tag on receiver Bernard Berrian. He’s likely to test the market according to the Chicago Sun Times.
– Travis Henry restructured his contract and will remain a Bronco.
– The Seahawks have used their franchise tag on cornerback Marcus Trufant.
