If Chad Johnson isn’t complaining about his situation in Cincinnati at this weekend’s Pro Bowl, he’s busy pushing members of the NFL’s media relations department.

Before leaving, Johnson was stopped by a member of the league’s media relations department (Michael Lipman) for me and another reporter. I asked Johnson whether he was having a better off-season after venting some of his frustration publicly at the Super Bowl.

Johnson walked off without answering the question. Lipman tried speaking with him again, only to get shoved. The much-bigger Johnson then stared down Lipman before stepping onto a jitney headed toward the players’ hotel.

CJ would probably benefit from taking the rest of the offseason to figure out what he wants. If he wants out of Cincinnati, he needs to go to the Bengals and demand a trade (and stick by the decision). If he’s just blowing off steam, hey, everyone’s human and he’ll probably apologize for the incident soon. But pushing members of the media relations department probably isn’t the best way to approach his problems.

He’s always been a loveable player, but he’s slowly converting from Ocho Cinco to Baby T.O.
