Two more Patriots were caught “cheating” by the NFL and one of them happens to be a well-known quarterback who dates hot models. According to the Boston Globe, Pats QB Tom Brady and DL Ty Warren both received fines for not buckling their chinstrap in two separate games this season.
(Brady’s agent Don) Yee did not disclose how much Brady was fined, or in what game the violation occurred. Warren was fined $7,500 for not having his chinstrap buckled in a Sept. 23 game against the Bills.
The NFL must be trying to make this rule equivalent to states fining people for not wearing their seatbelts. They want to limit concussions and one precaution is to make sure players have their hats on tight. It’s understandable since they’re looking out for the best interest of the player, although $7,500 is a bit much.
All I know is that I really want a job fining players for uniform infractions. Sure, the players are going to be pissed at me, but the money must be really good because these guys get fined for everything.
