The Lakers upended the Clippers, 97-88, to keep bragging rights in L.A. Kobe had 29/5/3 in the win.

Michael Redd is becoming very adept at getting to the free throw line. In the last three games, he has shot 42 free throws. The most impressive thing? None of the games were at home. The Bucks got a nice 115-110 win over the Warriors in Oakland.

Remember a few days ago when I wrote:

I’m starting to see a trend in the New Jersey box scores. Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic all score over 20, while no other player hits double figures save Jason Kidd, who constantly seems to flirt with a triple-double. The point? There isn’t one…I’m just sayin’.

Tonight’s line…

Carter: 41
Jefferson: 24
Krstic: 20
Kidd: 9 points, 13 assists, 9 rebounds.

I’m just sayin’.

Oh, the Nets beat the Sixers, 112-107.

J-Will returned to the court and posted 13 points and 14 dimes in the Heat’s 98-97 win over the Grizzlies. Memphis desperately needs Pau Gasol to return to action. The good news is that he’s ahead of schedule and should be back this month.

The Spurs fought off the Kings to defend home court, 100-98. Bruce Bowen hit seven threes and led San Antonio with 23 points.

The Rockets beat the Cavs, 81-63. By itself, the score is somewhat surprising, but throw in the fact that T-Mac left with an injury 11 minutes in, and it becomes shocking. Keep an eye on the Rockets’ Chuck Hayes. He had 13 rebounds in just 26 minutes.

Speaking of rebounds, Jeff Foster had 18 boards in 30 minutes during the Pacers 121-101 loss to the Nuggets. Carmelo Anthony continues his hot streak, scoring 38 in the win.

Paul Millsap continues his stellar play off the Utah bench. Tonight he posted 16 points and 10 boards in just 20 minutes. Talk about efficient!
