It’s week 16 and if your team is still alive, it’s not time to get cute. I’m a firm believer in starting your studs, so I won’t suggest you bench Aaron Rodgers or Chris Johnson because they have tough matchups – just go ahead and keep them in your lineup. Instead, I’ll focus on the borderline guys – players you’ll only start under the right circumstances.

As usual, I’ll discuss these players within the context of my weekly positional rankings, so remember — everything is relative.

The Seahawks have been brutal against the pass, so I’d expect another good fantasy line from Josh Freeman, who has been very steady this season…Believe it or not, I have Tim Tebow ranked in the top 10 this week. He played pretty well against the Raiders last week and this week he faces a Texans’ pass defense that has given up an average of 275 yards and 2.2 pass TDs per game. I wouldn’t expect that yardage from Tebow, but 200 passing yards plus 2-3 total TDs is well within reach against Houston’s secondary…Need another sleeper? Rex Grossman has a nice matchup with Jacksonville’s 27th-ranked pass defense.

I was down on Rashard Mendenhall last week due to his bad matchup and lack of recent production. But he managed 100 yards and a TD, so my faith is renewed. This week he has the Panthers, who are ranked 23rd against the rush…LeGarrette Blount has a nice matchup with a Seattle defense that has given up 117 rush yards and almost one rush TD per game this season…I think both Ryan Torain (vs. JAX) and Fred Jackson (vs. NE) should post good fantasy numbers (80 yards and a TD?) in good matchups…Tashard Choice figures to get plenty of work in a great matchup with Arizona’s 30th-ranked rush defense, especially if Felix Jones can’t go. In fact, if Felix is out, I’ll be moving Choice up several spots.

There’s always the chance that Beligenius comes up with some smothering defensive gameplan, but according to the numbers, Stevie Johnson is a very good play this week. New England had been playing better pass defense of late, but Green Bay had its way with the Patriot secondary, so Johnson should have a nice game…I love Mike Williams (TB) this week. Seattle is terrible against the pass so he should score at least one TD on Sunday…Vincent Jackson is a must-start against the Bengals, who have given up a lot of fantasy points to opposing WRs this season…Need a deep sleeper? David Nelson of Buffalo figures to have another nice game as the Pats’ defense focuses on Stevie Johnson.

<img src="http://view4.picapp.com/pictures.photo/image/10372509/cleveland-browns-buffalo/cleveland-browns-buffalo.jpg?size=500&imageId=10372509" border="0" width="477" title="Cleveland Browns v Buffalo Bills" height="318" oncontextmenu="return false;" ondrag="return false;" onmousedown="return false;" alt="ORCHARD PARK, NY - DECEMBER 12: David Nelson and Fred Jackson of the Buffalo Bills celebrate Nelson's touchdown catch against the Cleveland Browns at Ralph Wilson Stadium on December 12, 2010 in Orchard Park, New York.

The Chargers have the top ranked pass defense in the league and are the worst fantasy matchup for opposing QBs. Don’t start Carson Palmer, especially since he’s without Terrell Owens…Eli Manning was great (fantasy-wise) last week against Eagles, but the going figures to be tougher against a desperate Packer defense that is ranked 3rd in the league against the pass…Shaun Hill is back under center for the Lions, but this isn’t the week to start him. Miami has been good against opposing QBs this season and Hill is a mediocre starting QB at best.

I’ve been on the Jonathan Stewart bandwagon the last few weeks, but a matchup with the top-ranked Pittsburgh run defense puts the kibosh on all of that…I’d once again steer clear of LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene given their recent production and their matchup with the Bears’ 3rd-ranked rush defense…I’m a little iffy on Peyton Hillis, who hasn’t scored a TD in three weeks and has been missing practice this week. The Ravens have only allowed five rush TD all season and are 5th in yards against, so they figure to focus in on the Browns’ one-dimensional attack.

I’d steer clear of Chad Ochocinco this week. Not only does he have a terrible matchup, but he’s reportedly only going to play about half his normal snaps due to a foot injury…I’m not optimistic about Santonio Holmes. He and Mark Sanchez have cooled off considerably and making matters worse, he has a bad matchup against the Bears and is battling a turf toe injury…Johnny Knox caught a deep ball against the Vikings, but he’ll be visiting Revis Island on Sunday and conditions at Soldier Field could be messy.

Every week, I highlight a few players to start and a few players to sit at each position. I’m a firm believer in starting your studs, so I won’t suggest you bench Drew Brees or Arian Foster because they have tough matchups – just go ahead and keep them in your lineup. Instead, I’ll focus on the borderline guys – players you’ll only start under the right circumstances.

As usual, I’ll discuss these players within the context of my weekly positional rankings, so remember — everything is relative.

Jon Kitna has played pretty well since taking over for Tony Romo, and this week he has a nice matchup with the Redskins, who have struggled mightily against the pass this season…Josh Freeman should continue to put up solid fantasy lines the rest of the way. This week he has the Lions, who did play well against Aaron Rodgers for a half last week. Still, this is a secondary that has given up 20+ to Jon Kitna, Donovan McNabb and Mark Sanchez in the last eight weeks, so Freeman should finish with good stats…Jason Campbell is probably available on your waiver wire (or was earlier in the week) and has a terrific matchup with a reeling Broncos defense that has given up 1.8 pass TDs per game this season.

Knowshon Moreno has been running the ball really well lately and he has a nice matchup with Oakland’s 26th-ranked rush defense. I think he’s a solid RB1 this week…Jonathan Stewart is averaging 108 yards on the ground the last three weeks at a nice clip (6.3 ypc), and the Cardinals have given up 143 yards on the ground this season. Yes, Carolina is one-dimensional, but the Browns, Seahawks and Falcons knew that as well, and they couldn’t stop Stewart either…The Lions have given up 4.5 yards per carry and have allowed 15 rushing TDs on the season, so I think LeGarrette Blount will flirt with a 100-yard game and a score this week…Tim Hightower is out there on a few waiver wires and has a great matchup with a Panther rush defense that is ranked 25th in the league with 133 yards allowed. I’m a tad concerned that Beanie Wells will be healthy enough to get more carries, but at this point it appears that Hightower is still the Cards’ RB1.

Kenny Britt looked pretty good last week and played a lot, so I suspect he’s in for a big game against the Texans’ terrible pass defense. Mario Williams is out, so Kerry Collins should have plenty of time in the pocket to find his favorite receiver…Pierre Garcon is playing well (14 catches, three TDs in his last two games) and he has a great matchup with the Jags. Austin Collie looks like he’s good to go, so he becomes a WR3/flex play in most formats. He’s a little shaky, but he has a lot of upside if he gets his normal snaps…With a nice matchup, Malcom Floyd shaky and Antonio Gates likely out, Vincent Jackson looks like he’ll get a lot of targets against the 49ers tonight…I think both Big Mike Williams and Ben Obomanu could surprise this week against a Falcons defense that isn’t great against the pass.

<img src="http://view2.picapp.com/pictures.photo/image/10374259/denver-broncos-arizona/denver-broncos-arizona.jpg?size=500&imageId=10374259" border="0" width="477" title="Denver Broncos v Arizona Cardinals" height="324" oncontextmenu="return false;" ondrag="return false;" onmousedown="return false;" alt="GLENDALE, AZ - DECEMBER 12: Quarterback Kyle Orton of the Denver Broncos is sacked by Clark Haggans of the Arizona Cardinals during the NFL game at the University of Phoenix Stadium on December 12, 2010 in Glendale, Arizona.

I’ll be honest — I’ve lost whatever confidence I had in Kyle Orton and Mark Sanchez. They both are playing brutal football right now. Orton’s matchup is better, but I still don’t see him having a good week after what he’s done the last few games. Sanchez has to try to regain his confidence against a tough Pittsburgh defense. Good luck with that…I wish I could be more optimistic about Ryan Fitzpatrick, because he’s a good fantasy story, but with Lee Evans out and a tough matchup with the Dolphins, I don’t see him going off this week.

Even if Shonn Greene is limited, I’d stay away from LaDainian Tomlinson this week. His production is on the decline this season and he has a brutal matchup with the Steelers, who only give up 60 rushing yards per game…In the same game, I’m a little higher on Rashard Mendenhall, but not much. The Jets have the third-best rush defense in the league, and Mendy didn’t do much of anything against the Bengals last week…I would avoid Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory this week unless Ivory misses the game. The Ravens are a tough matchup, and if Thomas and Ivory are splitting time with Reggie Bush, neither is going to have much predictable value.

Brandon Lloyd was a big surprise this season, but now it’s his lack of production that’s surprising. He’ll probably have Nnamdi Asomugha shadowing him so I’m not optimistic…Sidney Rice looks fine, but with the Bears up next and a rookie QB under center, his numbers could be pretty ugly this week…Mike Wallace is a good, so good that he’ll likely draw Darrelle Revis this week, and that’s not good.

Every week, I highlight a few players to start and a few players to sit at each position. I’m a firm believer in starting your studs, so I won’t suggest you bench Drew Brees or Adrian Peterson because they have tough matchups – just go ahead and keep them in your lineup. Instead, I’ll focus on the borderline guys – players you’ll only start under the right circumstances.

As usual, I’ll discuss these players within the context of my weekly positional rankings, so remember — everything is relative.

Joe Flacco has been really good lately (267 yards, 2.0 pass TDs over his last seven games) and he has a matchup with the worst pass defense in the league. Good things should happen…Even with Asante Samuel back for the Eagles, I still like Jon Kitna this week. The Eagles have given up 24 pass TDs on the season and this one is shaping up to be a shootout…Josh Freeman should have a nice day against the Redskins, who have struggled all season against the pass. Washington has given up an average of 32 points over the last five games, so Freeman should find the endzone once or twice…Need a spot starter off the waiver wire? Alex Smith is back under center for the 49ers and he has an outstanding matchup against the Seahawks’ 30th-ranked pass defense.

I love Knowshon Moreno this week. Not only is he hot (averaging 142 total yards and 0.75 TDs per game over the last four weeks), but he has a matchup with the Cardinals, who are terrible against opposing RBs…There is some scuttlebutt about Earnest Graham stealing goal line carries, but it shouldn’t matter that much this week as LeGarrette Blount has a great matchup with the Redskins, who have given up an average of 137 yards and 1.0 TD on the ground this season…Tashard Choice might be available on the waiver wire, and he is coming off a nice game against the Colts. The Cowboys will use the same run-heavy attack to try to keep Mike Vick on the sidelines this Sunday, so I’m expecting another solid outing (70-80 total yards and a score) out of Choice this week.

After a slow start, Marques Colston has been playing good football for the last six games, and with a W14 matchup against a Rams’ defense that has struggled against opposing WRs, I’m expecting a good game. Colston always has some downside due to Drew Brees‘s propensity to spread the ball around, but everything points to a good fantasy line…With Dez Bryant sidelined, I’d get Miles Austin (and to a lesser extent, Roy Williams) into lineups this week. Austin should go back to fringe WR1 status (though Asante Samuel’s return to the Eagles’ secondary is a little worrisome), while Williams is a guy that’s available on a lot of waiver wires…Michael Crabtree should benefit from Alex Smith’s return to the lineup and a matchup with the Seahawks, who have given up a ton of fantasy points to opposing WRs this season…Need a deep sleeper? How about Deon Butler, who may get WR1 targets if Mike Williams and Ben Obomanu are sidelined.

Matt Cassel is iffy (likely out) after an appendectomy earlier this week and he had a bad matchup to begin with. Stay away…Whatever confidence I had in Mark Sanchez is gone after his debacle in a great matchup against the Pats on Monday night. The Dolphins’ pass defense is pretty good, so I’m not betting on a big bounce-back game from the Sanchize…Sam Bradford had his first below average game in quite a while and the Saints have been tough on QBs all year. He’s okay in a pinch, but I’m not expecting much this week.

LaDainian Tomlinson hasn’t topped 63 total yards in the last two weeks and hasn’t scored a TD since W6. Shonn Greene is eating into his carries and the Dolphins are not a particularly good matchup for RBs…Cedric Benson grinded out 74 total yards and a TD against the Steelers in their first meeting, but Pittsburgh has the #1 rushing defense in the league, so I’m not expecting a repeat of those numbers (at least not the TD) this week…Marshawn Lynch was a fantasy stud last week, but I doubt too many people had him in their lineups. This week, he has the 49ers, who are #10 in rushing yards allowed and have only given up seven rushing TDs all season.

He’s still startable, but Dwayne Bowe is no longer a no-brainer, not with Matt Cassel likely out and his goose egg last week. Throw in a date with the Chargers, who have done well against opposing WRs this season, and there are warning signs everywhere…The Titans say they are going to ‘ease’ Kenny Britt into the offense, so wait at least a week to put him in your starting lineup. Plus, the Colts are pretty good against the pass…Brandon Marshall may be back, but he may have Darrelle Revis shadowing him, and that’s not a good thing.

Matt Cassel has been on fire of late (12 TDs in his last four games) and he faces a Broncos defense that has allowed the third most points to opposing QBs this season. This one will probably be a shootout. Kyle Orton should also be a very nice start this week…Has Jay Cutler turned a corner? He has played pretty well (9 TDs, 3 INTs) since his Week 8 bye and has a good matchup with the Lions, who have yielded an average of 1.8 pass TDs per game this season…Mark Sanchez didn’t have a great game against the Bengals, but that was a barely mediocre matchup. This week, he has the Pats, who have been absolutely brutal against the pass (allowing the most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season).

Matt Forte has been pretty solid of late (243 yards in his last two games) and the Lions give up a lot of fantasy points to opposing RBs. He should have a big game…Felix Jones has had his ups and downs this season, but over the last three weeks he has 335 total yards and a TD. The Colts have struggled against the run for years, so Jones should be able to find a few running lanes on Sunday…Yes, Ryan Mathews is back, but I doubt he eats into Mike Tolbert‘s workload too much. Tolbert has been running like a madman and should get plenty of carries in a good matchup with Oakland’s suspect rush defense.

Look for Mario Manningham to have a big day against a Redskins defense that is 29th against the pass. With Nicks and Smith 2.0 still out, Manningham should have another nice outing…Santonio Holmes is hot (22-360-4 in his last four games) and has a matchup with the Patriots, who have been brutal against the pass this season…Don’t let HOU’s game against Rusty Smith fool you, the Texans can’t stop the pass. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin should go nuts tonight.

<img src="http://view2.picapp.com/pictures.photo/image/10279328/cincinnati-bengals-new/cincinnati-bengals-new.jpg?size=500&imageId=10279328" border="0" width="477" title="Cincinnati Bengals v New York Jets" height="318" oncontextmenu="return false;" ondrag="return false;" onmousedown="return false;" alt="EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - NOVEMBER 25: Quarterback Carson Palmer of the Cincinnati Bengals throws a pass under pressure from Jim Leonhard of the New York Jets at New Meadowlands Stadium on November 25, 2010 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Saints have been pretty tough against the pass this season (with just 0.6 pass TD allowed per game), and Carson Palmer has looked decidedly average against good competition this season. I wouldn’t bet on a big game…The Giants have the #1-ranked pass defense (though they do give up 1.3 pass TDs per game), so I don’t expect Donovan McNabb to put up big numbers this week. Maybe 225 yards and one TD…Brett Favre has thrown one TD in the last three games and the Vikings appear to be headed to a run-oriented offense centered around Adrian Peterson and/or Toby Gerhart. The Bills aren’t terrible against the pass, so Favre isn’t a shoe-in for a multiple-TD game this week.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis has three TDs in the last two games, but those were against Detroit and Indianapolis. This week he has the Jets, which are a totally different animal. They have allowed just 86 rushing yards per game and six rush TDs on the season…I have Ray Rice ranked in the mid-teens, which may seem low given how well he has played of late (averaging 136 total yards over the last four games), but the Steelers own the top-ranked rush defense and have allowed the second-fewest adjusted points to opposing RBs this season. Expect a decent game, not a great one…Even though he had a nice night against the Cardinals, I wouldn’t expect Brian Westbrook to set the world on fire against the Packers, who have only allowed five rushing TDs on the season. Westy is nursing a sore ankle and Anthony Dixon might be more involved than some people think.

Randy Moss has a great matchup (JAX), but I’d like to see some kind of production out of him before trusting him in my starting lineup at this point. He has just five catches in his last four games…Brandon Marshall is back, but the matchup is mediocre against the Browns — and let’s not forget that he hasn’t caught a TD pass since Week 3…The matchup could not be any better (literally), but Steve Smith 1.0 is a shaky start given the fact that Jimmy Clausen is his QB. He has just 10 catches in his last four games.

I like Shaun Hill again this week given his matchup at home with the Pats’ 31st-ranked defense…Eli Manning is a little short on weapons, but the Jaguars have given up 246 yards and 2.0 pass TDs per game this season and have enough offense to keep the Giants throwing…Ryan Fitzpatrick‘s matchup isn’t as bad as it looks. The Steelers are 22nd against the pass, though they’ve only given up 1.1 TDs per game this season. Still, I think Buffalo’s plan will be to spread Pittsburgh out and throw, throw, throw…Sam Bradford figures to have another solid outing against a Denver defense that has given up an average of 2.0 pass TDs per game on the year.

Both BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead should be able to post nice overall numbers against the Lions, who have given up the most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season…Thomas Jones performs well in games that are close or those that the Chiefs dominate. KC/SEA figures to be a close game, so Jones should be very involved against the Seahawks’ suspect rush defense.

Mario Manningham looks like a great start given the Giants’ issues at WR and his matchup with the Jags, who have been bad all year against the pass…Don’t be afraid to start Vincent Jackson this week in his first game back. Norv Turner said he expects Jackson to play a lot since he’s been practicing the last few weeks and Philip Rivers is playing out of his mind right now…Sidney Rice played more than he thought he would against the Packers due to an injury to Bernard Berrian, and I’d expect the Vikings to use him a lot again this week against a Redskins secondary that has really struggled to stop the pass…Need a sleeper? Check out Ben Obomanu, who has played pretty well the last couple of weeks and will step into the Seahawks’ WR1 role if Mike Williams misses time due to his foot injury.

<img src="http://view3.picapp.com/pictures.photo/image/10251438/cleveland-browns/cleveland-browns.jpg?size=500&imageId=10251438" border="0" width="477" title="Cleveland Browns v Jacksonville Jaguars" height="338" oncontextmenu="return false;" ondrag="return false;" onmousedown="return false;" alt="JACKSONVILLE, FL - NOVEMBER 21: David Garrard of the Jacksonville Jaguars is chased down by Marcus Bernard during a game agaisnt the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Field on November 21, 2010 in Jacksonville, Florida.

David Garrard has been hot of late, but he has to play the Giants’ 3rd-ranked pass defense in New York, and that’s no treat…He’s still startable in some formats, but don’t expect big things out of Josh Freeman against the Ravens, who have given up just 1.2 pass TDs per game this season and are 10th in yards allowed…I’d steer clear of Jason Campbell this week. The Dolphins are pretty good (5th) against the pass and the Raiders are likely to feature Darren McFadden this week.

Fred Jackson has been playing well of late, but don’t expect monster numbers against the Steelers, who are #1 in the league against the run…Cedric Benson figures to have a down game against the Jets, who have been tough to run on this season…The Falcons have only given up three rush TDs all season and are 6th best in rushing yards allowed, so if Brandon Jackson is going to do any damage, it will probably be through the screen game.

Johnny Knox hasn’t caught a TD pass since Week 7 and that’s the only one he has caught all year. The Eagles have been fairly tough on opposing WRs this season…I’m actually benching Miles Austin for Danny Woodhead in one league. Austin only has six targets in the last two weeks and has a tough matchup with a New Orleans defense that is tied for first in fantasy points allowed to opposing WRs.

Every week, I will highlight a few players to start and a few players to sit at each position. I’m a firm believer in starting your studs, so I won’t suggest you bench Peyton Manning or Adrian Peterson because they have tough matchups – just go ahead and keep them in your lineup. Instead, I’ll focus on the borderline guys – players you’ll only start under the right circumstances.

As usual, I’ll discuss these players within the context of my weekly positional rankings, so remember — everything is relative.

Shaun Hill didn’t look particularly sharp against Buffalo last week, but we’ll write that up to being a little rusty after the layoff. He still finished with 323 yards and a score, so it’s not like he was a big disappointment. This week, he faces the Cowboys, who have given up an average of 2.2 pass TDs per game this season…I wouldn’t say that I trust Mark Sanchez, but against the Texans’ terrible pass defense (301 yards, 2.4 pass TDs allowed), he’s bound to finish with nice numbers. Besides, he has accounted for five TDs (three pass, two rush) in the last two games, so he’s playing pretty well…What Jon Kitna and the Cowboy offense did in a tough matchup last week against the Giants has renewed my faith. The Lions are mediocre against the pass, but I suspect that this one might be a shootout. Kitna should have a nice fantasy day.

More and more, it’s looking like Ryan Mathews isn’t going to suit up this Sunday, so that means Mike Tolbert should get the bulk of the carries in a good matchup with the Broncos, who have given up 14 rushing TDs on the season and are 30th in the league in rushing yards allowed…If it looks like both Ryan Torain and Clinton Portis will be out this week, I’ll probably move Keiland Williams up into the high teens. The Titans aren’t a great matchup, but Williams will get a bunch of touches and has proven he can be productive when given the opportunity…The Eagles have given up an average of 104 rushing yards and 0.9 rush TDs per game this season, so Ahmad Bradshaw should have a nice week…The Lions are #26 against the rush and have allowed 10 rush TD this season, so I suspect Felix Jones will be able to build off his very solid Week 10 performance against the Giants.

In his last four games, Dez Bryant has averaged 5.8-82-1.0 and seems to be Jon Kitna’s favorite target. I think he’ll post good numbers in what should be a high-scoring game against the Lions…With Steve Smith 2.0 out another week, Mario Manningham should follow up a strong Week 10 performance with a nice game against the Eagles. However, every so often, Philly is able to totally take a player out of his game, which makes me reluctant to ranking Manningham higher…I like Santonio Holmes a lot this week in a great matchup with the Texans. He has had two straight solid outings and is second only to LaDainian Tomlinson in targets over the last three weeks. I also like Braylon Edwards, but I trust Holmes more.

Ryan Fitzpatrick and Joe Flacco are still decent starts, but the matchups (@CIN, @CAR) aren’t great, so don’t expect huge numbers this week…The Titans give up some yards, but they’ve only allowed 11 pass TDs versus 14 INTs on the season. That, coupled with his struggles this season, has me down on Donovan McNabb this week…While I like Tyler Thigpen‘s chances this season, this is not the week to start him. The Bears have given up just six pass TDs in nine games this season.

After a pitiful outing against the league’s worst rush defense, I’m offically worried about Jahvid Best. The Cowboys aren’t easy to run on, so Best will have to get his numbers in the passing game…Mike Goodson looks to get his second start this week with DeAngelo Williams on IR and Jonathan Stewart still recovering from his concussion. But with the Ravens’ 8th-ranked rush defense coming to town and a rookie QB making his first start, I’m not optimistic about the Panthers’ offense this week.

Steve Smith 1.0 is a great player, but with Tony Pike throwing him the ball and a pretty bad matchup with the Ravens, I’m not optimistic about his chances this week…Davone Bess has been a nice surprise this season, but with Tyler Thigpen in at QB and a stingy Bears’ pass defense coming to down, I’d avoid starting him this week…Andre Johnson is still certainly startable, but he has to visit Revis Island this week and his QB has missed some practice time this week due to injury. There might be a few owners out there with two or three better options this week.

Every week, I will highlight a few players to start and a few players to sit at each position.

Joe Flacco (#4) is hot (250+ yds and 2+ TDs in his last three games) and is facing the Falcons’ 26th-ranked pass defense…Last time we saw David Garrard (#6), he was torching the Cowboys to the tune of five TDs (four pass and one rush). The Texans are terrible against the pass, so I think Garrard is in for a big day…Shaun Hill (#10) is back under center for the Lions, and given his play earlier in the season (283 yards, 2.0 TDs in Weeks 2-5), he should be able to post nice numbers against the Bills, who have given up 2.1 pass TDs per game on the season.

The Bills are brutal against the run, so this should be the week that Jahvid Best (#12) breaks the 100-total-yard mark once again…The Lions give up 4.7 yards per carry, so Fred Jackson (#20) should be able to find success on the ground…Need a spot starter? Give Mike Goodson (#26) a shot. He’s going to start for the Panthers this week and can catch the ball out of the backfield. The Bucs are 30th against the run, so there’s opportunity here.

DeSean Jackson (#3) and Jeremy Maclin (#12) should be in for big days against the Redskins’ 31st-ranked pass defense…Look for Mike Sims-Walker (#17) to keep the good times rolling against the Texans, who are brutal against the pass. Mike Thomas (#27) is also a nice start. His numbers have been solid with David Garrard under center, and he’s a threat to run the ball too…No one can argue with what Steve Johnson (#11) has done this season. Detroit isn’t great against the pass and Johnson has averaged 5.8-81-1.0 over the last six games.

<img src="http://view2.picapp.com/pictures.photo/image/10139159/patriots-brady-warms/patriots-brady-warms.jpg?size=500&imageId=10139159" border="0" width="477" title="Patriots Brady Warms Up Before Game in Cleveland" height="318" oncontextmenu="return false;" ondrag="return false;" onmousedown="return false;" alt="New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady warms up before a game against the Cleveland Browns on November 07, 2010 in Cleveland.

I’m probably not as high on Tom Brady (#11) and his flowing locks as most pundits out there. Since the Randy Moss trade, Brady has averaged just 229 yards and 1.3 pass TDs per game, and this week he faces a Steeler defense that has given up just eight pass TDs in eight games. Plus, he’s dealing with a sprained foot…It hasn’t been pretty for Jon Kitna (#21) thus far, but he has been able to post decent numbers for the most part. The Giants have the league’s #2 pass defense, so I’m not optimistic about Kitna throwing 2+ TDs this week…Brett Favre (#20) has to go into Chicago to face a Bears defense that has only given up five pass TDs all year. He may rack up some yards, but the Bears are unlikely to give up more than one pass TD on Sunday.

They’re both still startable, but ratchet back those expectations for Peyton Hillis (#14) and Steven Jackson (#15) who face the Jets (#4 against the rush) and the 49ers (0.5 rush TD allowed per game)…The Browns have given up just one rush TD all season, so don’t count on BenJarvus Green-Ellis (#32) finding the endzone this week…Felix Jones (#37) has been underperforming and he has a terrible matchup against the Giants’ 2nd-ranked rush defense this week. Steer clear.

I’m not high on Mike Williams (SEA) (#42). He has been quiet the last two weeks and there are reports that he’s dealing with a knee injury…I’m a little worried about Brandon Marshall (#18), who has only scored one TD on the season and now has to deal with a change at QB. Throw in a fairly stingy Titans’ pass defense (239 yards, 1.1 pass TDs allowed), and it’s not a recipe for success…Miles Austin (#25) hasn’t thrived with Jon Kitna under center. Kitna has been targeting Dez Bryant (#20) just as often and having a much better success rate. And with the Giants’ 2nd-ranked pass defense on tap, I don’t see Austin breaking out of his funk this week (though he could post some decent garbage-time stats if the G-Men pull ahead).
