Michigan State advances to Final Four
Don’t bet against Tom Izzo in March. Even without his best player, Kalin Lucas, Izzo has directed his Spartans to their second-straight Final Four with a 70-69 win over Tennessee.
The game was nip-and-tuck the entire way with neither team leading by more than eight points. Raymar Morgan made a free throw with 1.8 seconds to play to give the Spartans the lead for good.
Personally, I’m a little bummed. I was hoping Tennessee and West Virginia would square off in the title game so we could see the matchup between Steven Pearl and Cam Thoroughman.

I’m always puzzeled as the tourney wears on, everytime State is discussed they are underdogs. It’s always, they’re too this or not enough of that. Worse it is in context of the oth team as they are to deep for MSU or their transition game is too fast for State and so on and so forth. I’m not talking about this year, or last year or even the last 5 years…
When will analysts/tv personalities/shot takers going to stop induldging on the big east/big twelve diet?
Now I’m beginning to enjoy it as we seem to get all of the over-inflated teams to knock off, year after year after year. I was really hoping for Kansas again…
Give respect and props to State. They come prepared for the NCAA tourney every year. We’re loaded, fast, rugged, defensive every year, not to mention one of the best coached teams EVERY YEAR.
