Northern Iowa upsets #1-seed Kansas
Ali Farokhmanesh was 0 for 7 in the second half, but with his Panthers clinging to a one-point lead with under 0:40 to play, he caught the ball on the wing against the Kansas press, spotted up and drained the game-deciding three-pointer. A half-minute later, he buried two free throws to seal the game.
Northern Iowa 69, Kansas 67.

I lost my champion and my runner up on day 3. Pretty sure that’s the worst I’ve ever done on a bracket, LOL.
I was in Vegas when this shot happened, and the sports lounge at the Orleans hotel imploded on itself. This was one of the only games I didn’t bet on, solely because I thought Northern Iowa had a chance at the upset. Still, I wasn’t confident enough to take it.
What an amazing game. So thrilling.
