Ohio State beats Michigan at the buzzer
Evan Turner hit a deeeeeeeeep three on the run as time expired, giving the Buckeyes a 69-68 win over border rival Michigan in the Big Ten quarterfinals. Turner posted 18 points, eight assists and four rebounds, and hit all three of his three-point shots.
Ohio State needed the win to stay alive for a #1 seed. Duke is on its way to a double-digit win over Virginia, so the Buckeyes have kept pace.

Some people are saying they didn’t pressure the ball enough there, as if Turner doesn’t deserve 99% of the credit for this superhuman act. I say there are equal risks playing man-to-man here. What is your take on this?
Michigan didn’t do a good job defending that play. There are pluses and minuses to pressuring the ball. I’m fine with either, because pulling the defender off gives you an extra guy to cover up the court. The key is that the defense forces Turner to catch the ball heading towards his own baseline, which would eat up time as he gathers himself and turns upcourt. Instead, Michigan allowed him to catch it as he was turning upcourt, which gave him plenty of time to get across midcourt and line up his shot.
