You know, from his angle under the basket I could see how he thought it could have gone through.
I’m not suggesting he was focused on the play, but the way the ball hit the net it looked like it may have gone through from his angle. Plus, he was looking away when the shot was being made, so all he saw was the net move.
Maybe from a distance someone would think it went through, but he’s standing right under the basket and should be paying better attention. Especially if he’s going to inbound the ball.
