Im Still Here JP.Thanks Alot for that advice! Im now playing 4 da Championship.Barely won by 3 fantasy points. Who 2 run out there this week?
RB:S.Jax,Ganther,P.Thomas,Moreno
WR: Colston,Ochocinco,Mason, Austin
TE: Davis or Finley.
Thanx Again
The moment I’ve been dreading all year is on top of me now. Round 2 of the playoffs in a non-PPR league, passing TD’s count for 6 points instead of 4. Do I start:
Peyton Manning or Jason Campbell (Joe Flacco, Matthew Stafford, Chad Henne, and Vince Young are available)
Dallas Clark or Kevin Boss (Fred Davis, Jermichael Finley, and Todd Heap are available)
Obviously I’d go with Manning and Clark if this were week 5, but the possibility of either or both only playing a half has me spooked.
Made it to the final game!
Pick 2 rb and 3 wr:
Pierre Thomas vs. tb
Thomas Jones vs. Ind
Ryan Grant vs. Sea
Mike Sims Walker vs. NE
Miles Austin vs. Was
Roddy White vs. Buf
Dwayne Bowe vs. Cin
Hines Ward vs. Bal
Terrell Owens vs. Atl
Thanks for all the this season
DaKid — I’d run Jackson and Pierre out there at RB. I like Moreno too, but Pierre has the better matchup and it looks like Bush might be limited. At WR, you have four great options. Mason has the best matchup (PIT), but I think I’d go with Colston and Austin.
snd_dsgnr — I’d bet that Peyton would play a half. So I’d go with Vince Young versus San Diego. Campbell would be my backup option. I’d go with Davis at TE with Finley being my second option.
Nick — I’d go with Pierre and TJ at RB. Grant is a good option as well, but Pierre has a nice matchup and Bush may be out. I would guess that Jones would have a bounce back game this week. At WR, MSW, Austin and Ward. Roddy is struggling a little bit and BUF has a good pass defense.
Thanks JP! I made it to final for the 4th time in 4 years!
Who should I start this week?
WR = DeSean Jackson, Steve Smith (NYG)?
RB = Frank Gore, Beanie Wells or Rashard Mendenhall?
W/R = who from the above?
TE = Jermichael Finley or Kellen Winslow?
DEF = Ten or Cin or Den or Dallas or NYG ?
I only can make 1 more move, I reach my limit…
So I have Ten’s D, so I think I probably need to make the move on DEF… pick up Cincy?
The rest of the above are players on my roaster.
Or should I make a move on adding a better WR for this week?
FAs
Mike Sims-Walker, Mike Wallace, Austin Collie, Chris Chambers, Roy WIlliams, Steve Breaston, Earl Bennett, Kenny Britt, Davone Bess
Thanks for the advice last week. It turned into an easy win. This is a PPR league for all the marbles.
QB – Schaub or Rogers
WR (pick 3) – Sidney Rice, Fitzgerald, Vincent Jackson, Steve Smith (NYG) or Calvin Johnson
RB (pick 2, this one is tough) – Pierre (leaning on him as one pick), Wells, Grant, Harrison, Charles or Snelling
DEF – Arizona or San Francisco
Thanks
It all comes down to this: This is it! Thanks JP.
Non-PPR League. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Pick 3(WR)
Chambers,Bowe,Steve Smith Giants, BMarshall
Pick 2(RB)
Jerome Harrison, Jamal Charles, Steven Jackson,
Bennie Wells
Pick 1(TE)
Finley,Celek
Than I have brady and Niners D, thanks to you.
I am afrain of my opponent, who has Brees,
DeSean Jackson, and Andre Johnson, Tony G, on one
Team, talk about being hosed.
Many thanks again…:)
I forgot to mention the other WR options:
Josh Morgan, Antonia Bryant, Louis Murphy Oakland Raiders. I figure Steve Smith Giants make sense with BMarshall, but I can’t figure out my last WR option. If I win, please allow me to paypal you, so you can buy yourself a nice holiday present.
JP…good input last week, thanks. And congrats to all the guys here since they are still playing.
I made the championship game and have a tough decision on my RB’s and WR’s. Yardage and TD league (10 yds per point). I need 2 RB’s, 2 WR’s, 1 RB/WR. I have Gore, S-Jax, Jacobs, Bradshaw at RB, Ochocinco, Mason, and Holmes at WR. My thoughts are to go one of two ways: Gore, Jackson, and my 3 WR’s or Gore, Jackson, and Bradshaw with 2 WR’s (which 2?). I’m thinking Ochocinco is locked in against KC but not sure about the other combinations.
Also Eagles defense vs. Denver or Packers vs. Seattle?
Championship week.
At QB,
Warner, A. Smith, or Young?
At RB, Pick 2
AP, Benson, or Charles
(I picked up Harrison too, more of a defensive move)
At WR I’m starting
Austin, Ochocinco, and Smith CAR.
Is this solid or should I consider Calvin Johnson and Meachem?
D,
Cardinals, Bengals, or 49ers (49ers D has been very dominant at home recently)
Thanks for all the advice JP.
I’m in a Yardage and TD league (10 yds per point). I’m concerned about Reggie Wayne not playing a full game this week, but I don’t know if I have anything better to offer as a starter. I need 3 WRs and I’ve got Wayne, Crabtree, Meachem, Santana Moss, and Lance Moore, and Kevin Walter. The best waiver in my league is Justin Gage. Also do I go with Hartley or Bironas? Thanks.
Scorpion — I’d go with DeSean, Gore and Wells. Finley/Winslow is a toss up, but I’d go with Winslow since he’s playing indoors and the Bucs will probably have to pass a lot. I’d pick up the Bengals on DT. The Cowboys or the Giants wouldn’t be bad either, but I like CIN the most given the matchup.
Jason T — I don’t think you can bench the top fantasy QB (Rodgers) unless the weather is awful in Green Bay. I’d go with Rice (keep an eye on the weather), Fitz and Jackson at WR. Smith would be my next choice, but he doesn’t have a great matchup. Pierre looks good with Bush out. I think Wells would be my second pick given the matchup (STL). You have lots of good options here — it’s tough. I’d take the 49ers on DT. They have played well at home against bad competition this season. Again, it’s a tough call.
Raj — I don’t trust Bowe right now, so I’d go with Chambers (who is hot), Smith and Marshall, of course. Four good options at RB — Harrison and Wells have great matchups. I’d go with them. Neither TE has a great matchup, but they are both good starts — I’d run Finley out there. Good luck! (My paypal is jhpaulsen34 at gmail dot com.)
T-Bone — So essentially you’re deciding which two amongst Bradshaw, Mason and Holmes that you should start. Since this is not a PPR league, RBs tend to have more value than WRs, but we’re talking about a part time RB in Bradshaw. A part time guy who has 7 TD in his last 9 games. I think you have to start him against CAR (who is terrible against the run, but did a nice job against AP last week). Then it’s between Mason and Holmes. I’d go with Mason, as he has the better matchup and has been more consistent this season. On DT, it’s a tough call, but I think I’d go with the Eagles.
Matt — Smith has the best matchup, but I think Warner is your best play. On DT, I’d go with AP and Benson, who has a great matchup. At WR, I like your WRs. Three good options on defense — I’d go with the 49ers.
David — Looks like Crabtrree and Meachem are solid starts, so you’re deciding between a full game of Moss or potentially a half game of Wayne. Tough call. Wayne has a bad matchup on top of it, but obviously if he’s going to play a full game, you’d start him. It sounds like the HC intends to play Wayne — but we don’t know how much. I think I’d go with Moss, but pay attention to any news out of Indy this week as the beat writers keep asking about how much the starters will play. I’d run Hartley out there at K since he’s kicking indoors with a nice matchup.
Hey JP-
Thanks to your help I’m still surviving in my league. Big match this week. Standard league: QB, 2RB, 2WR, WR/RB, TE, D/ST, K.
For RB/WR/Flex positions who do you like?
Gore, Hightower, Wallace, Ochocinco, Sims-Walker, Holmes, McCoy, Nicks, Gage.
For TE: Davis or Miller?
For K: Carpenter or Gostkowski?
D/ST: Ravens or Broncos?
I like: Gore, Hightower, Wallace, Ochocinco, Sims-Wlker, Davis, Ravens and Carpenter but am thinking replace Hightower with McCoy due to the matchups.
Thanks so much!
Thanks JP, what about SF, between SF and Cin, which DEF would you pick? Thanks!
Caroline K — I don’t think I’d start Mike Wallace over Holmes. I’d stick with Hightower since Westy looks like he’s back. Otherwise, your picks look solid.
Scorpion — I’d take the 49ers. Cincy’s defense is better but so is the Chiefs offense (better than the Lions). I like SF.
Last week. Thanks for all your help this year and Merry Christmas.
PPR League and my lineup includes;
Romo, E. Manning, Flacco
T. Jones, Forte, Snelling, Forsett, Moreno
Jennings, S. Smith(NYG), Mason, J. Morgan
DST’s Arizona and Dallas
Need 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1Flex(WR/RB) and 1 DST
Who should I start?
Merry Christmas. PPR league.
need to choose 3 WR- A.Johson, Colston, Steve Smith NYG, MSW
RB 2 and a flex- Gore, Beanie Wells, Forsett, Maroney, jamaal charles
K- Longwell or Hartley
TE- Finley or Witten
Def- arizona or san francisco
thanks
Which one of LT, Thomas Jones, or Bradshaw?
2 out of Roddy, Garcon, Santana Moss, Mason
PPR League
I need three WRs from:Colston,Marshall,Fitzgerald,Austin
I need two RBs from:Rice,Williams,Maroney,Stewart
I need one DST from: Cowboys, Colts
Merry Christmas!! I’m the only girl left in my fantasy league, in the finals…
(standard league)
WR: pick 3: Miles Austin, Brandon Marshall, Steve Smith (NYG)
RB: pick 3: L. Tomlinson, Jamaal Charles, Tim Hightower, Joseph Addai
QB: Really need help on this one… Roethlisberger or Farve
DEF: Eagles or Saints
Thanks alot and Merry Christmas!!!
In the finals this week…
Need 2 RB from Maurice Jones-Drew, Jerome Harrison, and Beanie Wells.
Wells and Harrison are both going up against weak rush defenses, do I dare not play MJD?
Hi John,
Merry Christmas!
Championship week is here!
RB2: Snelling (vs a terrible Bills defense) or
Stewart (with DeAngelo probably missing)
WR2: Boldin or DeSean
Flex: Pick 1 from the above.
Ken — Romo is hot. I’d run with him. TJ and Moreno are your best bets at RB. Jennings, Mason and S. Smith at WR/flex. ARI DT (great matchup).
Juan — While I like MSW’s matchup this week, Smith has been far too consistent to bench. I’d go with AJ, Colston and Smith 2.0. Gore, Wells and Charles at RB/flex. I like Maroney too, but not as much. Hartley at K, Witten, 49ers DT.
Will — LT and TJ are close to me, but I’d go TJ given the fact that Indy plans to rest some players. Roddy and Mason at WR.
Fitz — Tough call at WR. Definitely Fitzgerald and Marshall. I think I’d go Austin third. TB has been a little better against the pass of late. Rice and Maroney at RB — bad matchup for CAR and there’s no telling what’s going on with the carries. If DeAngelo sits, then I’d run Stewart out there over Maroney. I like the DAL DT better than Indy this week.
Kristy — Merry Christmas to you. Looks like you have your three WR already. At RB, I’d go with LT, Charles and Hightower. Addai may not play the whole game and the Jets are a terrible matchup for him. BAL has been pretty good against the pass and I think Favre will come out and play well this week with all this Childress drama. I think I’d go with the Saints at home vs. TB on defense.
Hannah — You have three great options there at RB, but you have to start MJD. The other pick is tougher. I think I’d go Wells. Harrison might go off again, but the Raiders did a nice job against Moreno last week. If there is any issue with Wells practicing this week (check Rotoworld) then plug Harrison in. Wells was knocked a little woozy last week but no one is using the word “concussion” so he should be fine.
Pradeep — If DeAngelo is OUT, I’d go Stewart. If he plays, I’d go Snelling. I’d take Boldin at WR and Snelling at flex (unless DeAngelo plays — in that situation I’d go Snelling at RB2 and Jackson at flex). I don’t like Jackson’s matchup with Champ Bailey.
Thanks a ton JP I hope you have the Merriest of Christmases!
Hey JP-
Do you think the 49ers would be a good pickup to replace the Ravens for D/ST this week? They’re on my wire and I’m thinking about picking them up. Thanks a ton!
Okay, so I’m stuck on my options for the final battle:
I have MJD, Moreno, and Jerome Harrison at RB, and I need to pick two. MJD is a lock, and I’m tempted to go Harrison over Moreno because of the matchups.
WR is a bigger problem – Mike Sims-Walker and Greg Jennings are probably starting, but for the third slot I have to pick between Megatron, injured and with a terrible quarterback, Antonio Bryant, and Josh Morgan. Right now I’ve got Morgan in because of the matchup and his recent track record, but I’m open to debate.
JP,
Which RBs do you start this week? Need 2 and 1 for flex. Chris Johnson, Benson, Charles, Snelling (assuming Turner doesn’t play), or Stewart (assuming DAW doesn’t play).
Which 2 WR do you play? Colston, Wayne, Rice, MSW, or Miles Austin?
Thanks man!!
Hey JP,
In a PPR league, semi’s. Here’s what I’m looking at:
QB – 2 of Brady*, Palmer*, Young
WR – 3 of Colston*, V. Jackson*, Smith (NYG), Garcon, J. Morgan
RB – 2 of T. Jones, Hightower, D. Williams, J. Harrison
The * are the ones I was banking on, the others are up for grabs.
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!
Caroline — SF and BAL are about the same. I lean SF.
Johnson — MJD and Harrison would be my picks. At WR, Morgan has a nice matchup, but I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him. I’d rather have either Megatron or Bryant in there. I’d go with Calvin.
Anthony — KC has actually been pretty good against the pass in recent weeks, so I’d go with Brady and Young. At WR, Smith would be my next choice. At RB, I’d go with TJ and Harrison.
Trying to decide between TO and Ward for WR. Any advice? As for the rest of my line-up I’m planning on going with MJD, Charles and Maroney at RB, Rodgers at QB, with Shincoe, Bironas, and Minnesota rounding things out. I also have Wayne, Britt and Cotchery as WR possibilities.
Need to start 2 RB from the following:
Thomas Jones vs Indy
Jamal Charles vs Cincy
L.T. vs. Tenn
Thanks for the help. My first thought is Jones and LT, with Charles faceing a motivated Cincy in Cincy.
Greg — I’d go with Ward. TO has been wholly undependable this season. Ward doesn’t have a great matchup, but PIT will have to throw to move the ball on BAL.
Greg S. — I hope you went with LT. Jones & LT would have been my advice.
JP,
Which RB do I use as my Flex this week out of Charles, Stewart, and Snelling?
Thanks in advance!
Need help deciding,
Steve Smith (NYG) or Robert Meachem
Fred Davis or Jermichael Finley
Thanks for the help!
I hope you had a Merry Christmas! I would like some lineup help please. I am in a PPR league that rewards return yardage. Thanks for your help!
QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Ray Rice, Thomas Jones, Beanie Wells, Forsett, or Hightower (need two)
WR: Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Miles Austin, or Johnny Knox (I need two)
TE: Jermichael Finley or Fred Davis (I need one)
Flex: Any of the above WR’s or RB’s (I need one)
Right now I am leaning towards AJ and Fitz at WR, Miles Austin at flex, Finley at TE, and Rice at one of the RB positions. I can’t decide between Wells and Jones at the other position.
What would you recommend? Thanks again!
Hey JP,
Happy New Year. I need some championship game advice:
Cardinals or Eagles DST (trusted the eagles all year, but the Cardinals matchup looks great)
RB (pick 2) Harrison, Snelling, Mendenhall, Bush
Thanks in advance,
Isaac
QB – Big Ben or McNabb?
WR – R wayne for a half or Josh Morgan/Berrian? – ppr
RB – Pierre over harrison – non ppr
K – Harley over Tynes?
Thanks as always
Do I run Pierre or Grant as my second rb?
Other than miles austin… do I run with roddy, sims walker, t.o, ward, or bowe as my other two wrs?
Thanks!
Jason — With DeAngelo out, I’d go with Stewart. Snelling would be my second choice.
Corey — I’d lean Smith despite the sketchy matchup. He has been too good this season. Davis would be my choice at TE, though it’s very close.
Chadclay — I’d go with Wells at the other RB.
Isaac — I’d stick with Philly. Don’t get cute in the title game. Harrison and Snelling are your best bets at RB, given the matchups.
GMC21 — Neither guy has a good matchup, but I’d go with McNabb since it’s slightly better. Go with Morgan at WR. Wayne might not even play a half. I think I’d go Pierre at RB, as he’s a safer play. Harrison probably has more upside. I’d go with Hartley at K since the game is indoors in a good matchup.
Karl — I think I’d go Grant at RB2, though it’s close. I’d go with Roddy as my WR2.
I don’t think I’ll be able to answer any questions on Sunday morning, so I’m turning comments off. Good luck, everyone!
