Not even close. We understand you don't like your rival's from Boston - fine. But don't think we are the same... Remember: There is only one "Evil Empire" and thats your team. That's ok...but if the Yankees decide to bid on Bay and get him, they've ruined baseball. So it's only ok when the Redox play moneyball but not the Yankees? The only difference between the two scenarios is one deal is via trade, the other is via free agency. But in both situations, one team decided they couldn't afford player but another could. It's the same game, but only bad when the Yankees play it? But like the writer says - if the yankees want him - they will get him or at least screw with Boston to drive the price up and make Boston or some other team overpay. Same ole story.
