I think an unranked knocking off the No. 4 team in the nation can constitute as a shock.

I'm sorry you're frustrated that your team fell, but I think we're splitting hairs here.

I am growing a little tired of hearing how Northwestern "shocked" Iowa when they won last week 17-10. It was hardly a shock...to the fans or the players. The only thing shocking about the game was the fact that Stanzi was knocked out of the game. I don't know of many teams that could continue winning like Iowa has all season with all the injuries they have had from game 1. The injury to Stanzi was like the final blow. The players and fans alike were shocked and lost hope. Sure the loss to NW sucked, but losing Stanzi, the leader of the team, was devastating. Look how well Oklahoma is doing without their one time Heisman hopeful. They dropped out of the AP top 25.

One thing is for sure...never count the Hawkeyes out of any game. They may not have the most talented players, but they have players that work hard and play with heart, and hard work and heart can beat talent on any given day.
