Standard non-PPR league.
QB: Favre
WR: Randy Moss, Vincent Jackson
RB: DeAngelo Williams, Joseph Addai
TE: Heath Miller
W/R: Miles Austin
Bench: McNabb, Tim Hightower, Mike Bell, Sidney Rice, Robert Meachem
This is what I have now, but I’m wondering if I should start Hightower or McNabb this week.
Hello,
Im in a salary cap league….who 2 should i pick?
Deangello Williams
Chris Johnson
MJD
Ray Rice
or
Adrian Peterson
What can I say ,Great advice again!Thanx
JP, I need help on who 2 start this week. At RB I have Julius Jones,S. Jackson,Lynch, and P Thomas.Need 2.
And at WR Ochocinco,Colston,Mason,Hester,Austin.Need 3. Also, who do you think has the better matchups. Touchdown heavy league
Bren — Stick with Favre, great matchup. I’d go with Addai if D. Brown is still out. If he comes back and it looks like he’s going to play, I’d go with Hightower.
Mike A — Chris Johnson, Ray Rice and AP have the best matchups. I guess it depends who is the most expensive.
DaKid — I’d definitely get S. Jackson in there. My second choice would be Pierre, who is coming on. At WR, I’d go with Ochocinco, Austin and Colston. Hester has the best matchup, but I wouldn’t bench those other three.
Hi John,
Pick 2: Bowe, Sims-Walker, Boldin, Jonathan Stewart, Julius Jones
Def: Jets or Falcons
Hey JP . Who should i start this week at QB Palmer or Cassel
I have Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Michael Turner, and Rashard Mendenhall. who should i start?
i forgot this…i can only start two of the four that i listed. thanks!!!
Non PPR :
Pick 1
1. Nate Burleson
2. Dwayne Bowe
3. Chris chambers
Thanx
Ok..back on track and won.
Here’s who I have on my starting roster
QB: P. Manning
WR: Housh
RB: P. Thomas
TE: H.Miller
W/R: T.Jones
BN: Burleson, S.Rice, Breaston, Walter
Waivers
WR: M.Wallace, A.Collie, Holt, Bennett, Maclin, Garcon, Evans, Berrian, R.Williams,
RB: J.Jones, Bradshaw, Sproles, F.Jackson, Choice, Buckhalter, Maroney
Should I start T. Jones over P. Thomas and move Rice into W/R spot? Rice has good match up against Detroit who’s almost last in pass def. But P.Thomas has good matchup against StL.
Also, is there anyone worth picking up on waivers given the players I have?
sorry, the last post was mine….i didnt put a name
Pradeep — I’m assuming this is not a PPR league, which favors RBs. Unless DeAngelo is out, I’d go with Bowe and Sims-Walker, despite the bad matchup. On defense, I prefer the Jets to the Falcons.
Kaya — I have more confidence in Palmer, though neither guy has a particularly good matchup.
JoshL — I’d recommend Turner and Ronnie Brown. Good matchup for MIA, bad matchup for PIT.
Dennis — I lean Burleson over Bowe due to the better matchup.
TX — I’d leave it teh way you have it except I’d put Rice in over Housh. He has a great matchup with the Lions. I’d probably stick with the guys you have, though since you are pretty deep at WR, you may want to pick up Jones to give yourself another option at RB (cutting Walter).
selecting a wildcard bench player–either the bengals D/ST vs. Pittsburgh or Joe Flacco vs. CLE. Flacco seems obvious, but Bengals D is higher scoring and more consistent.
Hi John,
Which QB should I start?
Brett Favre vs Detroit, there is chatter about Favre having a growing injury or TOm Brady?
Which two Running Backs?
Steve Slaton
Steven Jackson
Ronnie Brown
Finally Should I trade of any of the following WRs for Ryan Moats.
Hakeen Nicks or Michael Crabtree?
Thanks very much for your help. I lost last week, so many of my other compeititors are catching up.
THAKS AGAIN!!!
Ok need some help with some tough choices this week I need 2RB 3WR 1TE I have so heres my team RB:MOJO, Addai, P.Thomas, or Mendenhall WR: Welker, Driver, Austin, Marshall, or Sims-Walker TE:Miller, or Witten
I also have Walter, Cotchery, and Portis on waivers Thanks for your help
maddog — I’d go with Flacco, but I guess it depends on your scoring system if the Cincy DT is higher scoring.
Raj — I’d go with Favre. He’s playing great and has a far better matchup than Brady. At RB, Jackson and Brown are your best bets. Slaton is playing second-fiddle to Moats right now. Of the two, I’d trade Nicks, but it’s not necessary. You can get by with Brown and Jackson the rest of the way. Moats would give you another option though. It depends on who you have at WR.
Evan — I’d go with MJD and Pierre. Addai and Mendenhall have pretty tough matchups. At WR, you have five good options, though Marshall, Welker and Sims-Walker have tough matchups. I’d go with Welker, Austin and Driver. At TE, Witten should be able to take advantage of the Packer LBs.
2 different leagues
1st one 1QB, 2WR, 2RB, 1 Flex
Cutler and Big Ben
Fitz, Jennings, Collie ,S.Moss, S.Smith(Car)
Rice, T.Jones, Caddy Williams, S Greene
2nd League 1QB 2WR 2RB 2 Flex
Starting Warner
S.Smith(Car), Marshall, Breaston, R.Moss
AP, Ricky Williams, S Greene and Ladell Betts
Big question is, do you think Betts and/or Greene are worth starting?
In a 10 team ppr league and lineup includes romo, flacco, forte, T. Jones, Moreno, McCoy, Jennings, D. Mason, Houshmanzadeh, Maclin. Who should I start? I also Have NE DST with a tough matchup this week do I stick with NE or pick up which of the following that are available; Arizona, Jets, Tennessee, San Diego, KC, Oak., Seattle. Thanks.
Have forte, T. Jones, McCoy, and Moreno. Jonathan Stewart and McFadden are available. I drafted both actually and dropped them. Would either of them or both make my RB’s better?
Do you think it is worth dropping Nicks for Jason Hill; I know Hill is risky but Nicks has Eli throwing to him and even though he is the better WR, Manningham still seems to steal most his looks – also the Giants have a hard schedule coming up. On the other hand, Hill has practiced with Alex Smith the first 6 weeks of the season and Smith seems to have all the confidence in the world in him – Bruce is on the way out, Morgan is a non-factor, and Crabtree garners a lot of defensive attention. Vernon Davis could steal some looks but I like the fact that Smith and Hill practiced together for so long. They play a bad Bears team tonight (as well as a great 2nd half schedule) and I may have some injury and bye problems this week where I may likely need to drop someone for a WR and I would rather take a chance on Hill than anyone on the waiver wire.
(Sorry so long)
Randy — It’s close, but I lean Big Ben. He’s pretty hot right now. Fitz and Jennings at WR. Rice and TJ at RB. Smith at flex. Other team: R. Moss and Smith — tough matchup for Marshall and he has a bad back. AP and Ricky at RB. Betts is worth a start at flex. Marshall at the other flex unless Boldin doesn’t play, then go with Breaston. (It looks like Boldin will play.)
Ken — I don’t know your roster requirements, so it’s tough to say. But I’d go with Romo (that game could become a shootout), TJ and Forte. I’d rank your WRs Jennings, Housh, Mason, then Maclin. I wouldn’t cut NE if you are looking good for the playoffs. They have a great schedule in weeks 14-16. I’d probably stand pat with your RBs.
RJR — I wouldn’t cut Nicks for Hill. He’s only playing because Isaac Bruce is dinged up. He needs to produce for another week or two before I’d give serious thought to cutting Nicks.
Hey John, PPR League Need help with line-up. QB,2RB,3WR,TE,DST
QB-Hasselbeck,Flacco
RB-Jones,Julius-Williams,DeAngelo-Lynch,Marshawn
Mendenhall,Rashard-Tomlinson,LaDainian
WR-Austin,Miles-Burleson,Nate-Sims-Walker,Mike-
Boldin,Anquan-Owens,Terrell
TE-Witten,Jason(Shockey is available on waiver)
K-Akers
Seahawks DST(Your pick last week)Eagles DST
Should I drop Seahawks for Miami?
Thanks again for your help John.
Tim Hightower also available on waiver. Thanks again
I need a win, I am 4-5 and NE is my defense. I am 2 games out of first but my points are lower than others with same record. At this point I don’t make top 4 for playoffs. Who should I play for week 10 DST to give myself the best chance to win this week? Tennesse, Arizona, or Jets?
Seb — I lean Flacco at QB. At RB, DeAngelo is a must start. Mendenhall is a good start too. I’d dump SEA for Hightower, and start PHI. You can pretty much start PHI every week. AT WR. I’d go with Austin, Sims-Walker and Burleson. I’m a little leery of Q with that ankle injury.
Ken — The Jets are your best bet. They have a nice matchup at home.
Hey JP,
New Developmeent…trade deadline approaches. Non-PPR league. I have an offered a trade for Brett Favre.
He is giving me Brandon Marshall for Brett Favre. I already own Tom Brady. If I take this trade, then I will have no back-up QB.
Favre is on-fire this year….not sure what to do. It could hurt me in the finals to, especially If I end up playing him.
Thoughts on the trade?
Thanks very much as always!
Raj
Raj — My first instinct is to say hell yes. Brady should be fine for the remainder of the year. Who’s available on the waiver wire at QB? I’m sure we can find someone that has a decent schedule during the fantasy playoffs.
Hey JP,
At QB, J. Flacco (Cle), K. Warner (Sea), or C. Palmer (Pit)?
At RB, C. Benson (Pit) or R. Williams (Tb)?
I’m in a 2WR 1WR/TE league, what do you think is the most favorable combination?
M. Austin (Gb)
C. Ochocinco (PIT
D. Clark (Ne)
CAR S. Smith (Atl)
N. Burleson (Ari)
At D, Cardinals (Sea) or Bengals (Pit)?
Thanks JP.
Hi JP, this week line up…
WR – DeSean Jackson or Sim-Walker?
W/R – Mendenhall or Hightower or Sim-Walker or DeSean Jackson?
Hey JP,
I have been offered Ronnie Brown for Andre Johnson. Is it worth taking?
My lineup is:
RB: Turner, Chris Johnson, Bradshaw, Jonathan Stewart, Sammy Morris
WR: Andre Johnson, DeSean, Sims-Walker, Bowe, Boldin, Kevin Walter
its a non-PPR league
oh the great debate!
got brady, wayne austin, barber and celek.
my debate if between Betts, Bell, Mccoy and James Jones in last two spots. I am leaning toward Betts(he is starting) and Mccoy(may start) although Bell is at St. louis so there is great chance for lots of garbage time.
your thoughts?
Matt — Warner has the best matchup. I think Benson will do okay, but Williams has a much better matchup. At WR, Austin and Ochocinco for sure, and then I think D. Clark next (but it’s pretty close w/Burleson and Smith). On defense, I’d take ARI.
Scorpion — PPR league?
Pradeep — No, I think I’d go down the stretch with Turner and CJ and keep your top WR. See ifyou can go Stewart + Sims-Walker/Bowe/Jackson for Ronnie. How many WR can you start?
Dave D — Betts has a bad ankle so watch his status. Start him if he’s a go. Then I’d probably go with Bell because of garbage time possibilities. Looks like Westy is going to play so McCoy’s upside is limited.
I can start 2 WR + 1 flex
With the news that DeAngelo is iffy for Week 10, I’d just stand pat at RB. Or you can try to use him plus one of your other WRs to get Ronnie Brown. But it really doesn’t look like you need him.
Which QB do you like for week 10 bye week fill in
Hass SEA, Cassel KC or Sanchez NYJ
also WR bye week fill in – non ppr – need one
bowe, garcon, breaston, floyd, collie or evans
thanks for the help
Hey John,
I’m in a bind this week.
Solid on my WR status, but weak at RB… I have AP ( only strong RB ) and have the following I can choose from for Sunday’s games.
J. Charles
L. Maroney
L. Betts
Which one of these 3 are going to give me a better chance at gaining points?
PPR league.
Thanks Buddy!
Hey JP–I’m in a standard league and have QB, 2RB, RB/WR, 2WR, TE, D/ST, K. I already picked Gore as one of the 2 RB’s. Who else should I take? Thanks!!
My Players:
Brees, Hightower, Sims-Walker, Ochocinco, Mike Wallace, Miller, Broncos, Gostkowski, Holmes, Burleson, Ben Watson, McCoy, Nicks, Dan Carpenter, Patriots.
Right now I’m liking Brees, Hightower, Sims-Walker, Ochocinco, Wallace, Miller, Broncos and Gostkowski.
Thanks for all your help!!
No, not PPR league, receiving yards score more point, 5 receiving yards = 1 point, versus 7 rushing yards = 1 point.
WR – DeSean Jackson or Sim-Walker?
W/R – Mendenhall or Hightower or Sim-Walker or DeSean Jackson?
Hey John,
this is a league where only td get you points
I need to start two RB
T. Jones vs Jac
C. Benson vs Pit
D. Williams vs Atl
I need to start two WR:
M. Sims-Walker vs NYJ
M. Austin vs GB
D. Henderson vs STL
N. Burleson vs Ari
Thanks
hey JP,
Starting Welker is a given so need help with 2 WRS this week not sure which 2 to start this is a PPR league i got:
1. Roddy White Banged up against tough Car secondary
2. Anquan Boldin
3. Donald Driver
4. TJ Houshmanzadah
5. Dwayne Bowe
Hey JP
which 2 players should i start at RB and 1 at flex: moreno, willie parker, jamal lewis, deangelo williams, pierre thomas, benie wells, donald brown, jeremy maclin, and piere garcon.
Non PPR, need to start two:
Burleson
Jennings
Shockey
Shiancoe
Thanks for the advise
Non PPR…2WR 1 RB 1 Flex…
MJD, Barber III, K. Smith, Moroney
Fitz, Sims-Walker, Calvin Johnson, Bowe
MJD, and Fitz are easy, so I need 1 more WR and a Flex.
2 open Flex spots. B.Marshall, Breaston or Ladell Betts? Betts isn’t sounding so valuable anymore and last time Breaston played Seattle he killed it. Any suggestions?
Sorry, that above post was from me.
(2 open Flex spots. B.Marshall, Breaston or Ladell Betts? Betts isn’t sounding so valuable anymore and last time Breaston played Seattle he killed it. Any suggestions?)
GMC21 — I like Hass this week against an ARI pass defense that has been pretty inconsistent this year. I’d go with Bowe at WR despite a tough matchup.
Schmiddy — Maroney is the clear #1 RB in NE with Morris out. Charles may not even start and Betts is iffy to play.
Caroline — Hightower should be a solid play. I’d probably go with Burleson over Wallace.
Scorpion — DeSean and Mendenhall would be my picks due to the matchups.
Zack — TJ for sure. Deangelo is a game time decision, so if he plays, you should start him. If not, then go with Benson. At WR, Austin and Burleson look like your best plays. The Jets are a tough matchup for Sims-Walker.
Keith — I’d rank them Driver, White, Bowe, Boldin then Housh.
Alex — DeAngelo for sure if he plays. Pierre also has a nice matchup. I’d say Wells at your flex since ARI will have a chance to get a lead against SEA.
Brian — Burleson and Jennings. Your TEs are good but you should start both WRs.
Chill — Calvin looks like a good start against Minny. Probably Barber at flex.
Hey John,1st time here.
Like 2 know who would you start?I play in a Non-PPR league, touchdown heavy.
My QB’s are Brady&Roth RBs Jackson,Jacobs,Bell,Lynch(need2)WRs Ochocinco,Wanye,D.Jackson,Mason,Hester(need3)DEF Cinci or Arizona(need1)
At Wr im leaning towards Jackson,Wayne,& Mason(Only because Ocho has a tough matchup @Pitt and Mason Did great against CLE earlier in the season) What do you think? Thanx
lineup includes Romo, E. Manning, Flacco, Forte, T. Jones, McCoy, K. Moreno, Jennings, S. Smith(NYG), D. Mason, Maclin, Houshmanzadeh. I have offered McCoy to the Westbrook owner and he is willing to give me Shockey. He also has Heath Miller who I like better I think. Who do you like do I make the trade. He also owns D. Hester. Should I ask for him instead. I definitely need a TE since I lost Owen Daniels to Injury. What should I do? Thanks.
non-ppr league
QB: Brady, Rivers
RB: P.Thomas, Maroney
WR: Austin, SimsWalker, Burleson, V.Jackson
TE: Celek, Witten
My biggest dilemmas are with TE and WR. what do you think?
Need to pick one wr from: Wallace, boldin, or wells.
Boldin scares me with his ankle…. And he had yet to have an outbreak game.
However, against the bengals, I see ben throwin more at ward and holmes vs Wallace. Wells is my #3. Any thoughts?
Nikki — Welcome to TSR. Your QB dilemma is interesting. The Colts are a very tough pass D (only 4 pass TD allowed all season), but they haven’t faced anyone of Brady’s caliber this season. (Schaub and Warner are the closest, and they each threw a TD against Indy.) I think Brady is the play. Jacobs is on bye, so I’d go with Jackson and Lynch at RB. I’d start Ochocinco over Mason. The Bengals are going to have to throw to move the ball on PIT.
Ken — Yeah, I’d make that trade. (McCoy for Shockey.) I was faced with a similar decision (trade for Shockey or Miller) and I ended up going after Shockey because his last few games are all indoors, which should be better than playing in Pittsburgh in December. Miller wouldn’t be bad though.
Ryan — I’d start Brady at QB. At WR, I’d go with Austin, Burleson and Jackson. (Sims-Walker has a very tough matchup.) At TE, it’s very close. I’ve been starting Celek over Witten lately, and Celek does have the better matchup.
Mandy — I’d go with Boldin who practiced all week and looks like he’s ready to go.
TE? Whitten or Carlson? Have Hasselback at QB due to bye week, I am new to FF does this make a difference?
Hey JP- I’m in such a bind! I’m in a standard league (QB, 2RB, RB/WR, 2WR, TE, D/ST, K).
I have Brees for QB and Miller for TE.
But my WR and RB and Flex positions are struggling. Who should I choose? Thanks for all your help!!
Possible choices are: Gore, Hightower, Sims-Walker, Ochocinco, Holmes, McCoy, Nicks, Wallace.
I also have Dan Carpenter as a kicker and Gostkowski. My gut says Gostkowski. Is that right?
Also, any good TE’s you think I could pick up this late in the season? I have Miller and Watson (neither are big scorers) and I could use a good surprise pickup.
Thanks!!
