Yeah, for some reason I find it extraordinarily difficult to go against Simmons, but he is wrong a lot.

It looks now like Ramon Sessions is going to get the starting spot over Jonny Flynn.

He might have been right about Tyrus Thomas, though, calling him "fantasy kryptonite".

I don't think his age (30) has much to do with it. Many NBA players are still peaking at that age. I'd be worried about the fact that he has missed huge chunks of the last two seasons due to injury. It's probably going to take him a while to unearth the old Elton, and we may not ever see him again.

Bill Simmons predicted a huge comeback for Brand, and he knows everything, right?

Apparently, Brand is 98% owned and ranked in the 30s by ESPN for fantasy, which all tell me "you're crazy to cut him after 1 game", but recent performance, his age, and acclimating to a new offensive strategy don't all bode well for the his future.

Both Randolph and Green are quality fantasy players. Tough to cut bait on Brand after one game, however.

I'm seriously thinking about either dropping Brand or Zach Randolph in favor of picking up Jeff Green.

Thoughts?
