I hope Smith is sucessful. He sure is looking good out there. But everyone seems to forget that it was Shaun Hill who was the one that led the niners to a win the last two games of a feeble 07 season and 4 games on another feeble 08 season. He helped Mike get his job, put the niners in a temporary 1st place and finally has a 7-1 record at candlestick. He has done all this with a humble let's just get the job done attitude. The whole team did poorly the Texan and Falcon game. I would just like to see more people and media give him cuddos for helping to bring the 49ers from the depths of joke team to one that can contend for the division. No question if Alex keeps up his style, niners will go far.

Good to see second chances that pay off for both sides. Singletary should have moved quicker on this decision, but still its the right choice. Maybe Crabtree progresses and Smith has a good year under center...
