I need to pick 2 of:
Anquan Boldin @Sea
DeSean Jackson @Oak
Mike Sims-Walker vs StL
Ahmad Bradshaw @NO
Non-PPR league. What do you think?
Thanks,
Pradeep
I need 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1DEF(NON-PPR) Heres my team QB: Rodgers, and Schaub RB:MOJO, Mendenhall, and Forte WR:Marshall, Driver, Welker, and Sims-Walker TE:H.Miller, and Carlson DEF: Min, and JVille Thanks John
Hi JP,
I have a WR delema in my hands. Kevin Walter in on the Waiver Wire. Here are my current WR’s:
1) Steve Smith (Giants)
2) Hakeem Knicks (Giants)
3) Terrel Owens
Would you drop any of them for the following FA?
1) Eddie Royal
2) Lance Moore
3) Antonia Bryant
4) Justin Gage
5) Devery Henderson
Or Waiver Wire:
1) Kevin Walter.
Hey, unclear as to who I should go with this week as far as wr’s. I have H Ward, A Bryant, M Manningham, R White, Sims Walker?? I was thinking of going Ward, White and Walker, is that the smart move? Also Rbs I was gonna roll with Pierre versus NYG and Turner. I have slaton, but he hasnt done much. Smart move? Finally Peyotn is on a bye, so I’m playing Matt Ryan, should I drop him and pick up Hasselback, or is Ryan worth more in the long run? Thanks
Oh, I also have D Bowe as a wr option.
i need a running back for week 6
I want to propose a trade
i have Santanio Holmes and i want to trade for Tim Hightower.
Im pretty sure i can get the trade because:
1. the guy is a Pittsburg fan
2. he’s limited on WR(only 3 this week, not great guys either)
3. Holmes is projected high on ESPN Projections.
im pretty sure im good on WR so i dont think its a bad trade.
what do you think?
should i ask for more
throw in a extra player for a lil more value?
thanks
Hi JP,
Need your advice on my line up this week…
QB = A.Rodgers (vs. Det.) or C.Palmer (vs. Hou.) ?
WR = DeSean Jackson or Steve Smith (NYG) or Mike Sims-Walker ?
RB = R.Mendenhall or Tim Hightower ? or should I pick up – A.Bradshaw, D.Sproles, C.Williams, R.Bush, L.Johnson, J.Stewart, B.Wells, M.Bush, M.Bell?
W/R = DeSean Jackson or Steve Smith (NYG) or Mike Sims-Walker
K = I picked up M.Crosby and dropped J.Carney, was I stupid? O.Mare, J.Feely, J.Scobee, R.Gould and S.Graham are available.
DEF = I have Denver, should I stay with Denver or pick up Cincinnati, Atlanta, Jacksonville?
Sorry, 1 more question… looking at my roster above, if you were me, would you drop Tim Hightower and pick up one of these WR?
Miles Austin
Austin Collie
Jeremy Maclin
Who worth picking up?
Thanks!
who would be a better play at RB this week? I need 2….
RB S.Jackson,P.Thomas,Lynch,or Sammy Morris?
n a 10 team PPR league and my roster includes Romo, E. Manning, Forte, T. Jones, J.Stewart, A. Bradshaw, L.McCoy, G. Jennings, S. Smith(NYG), D.Mason, K. Walter, E. Royal. Who would you start? Need 2 backs 2 receivers and a flex. Thanks. I am trying to trade for ronnie brown by giving up Greg Jennings. What do you think?
Thanks
Ok…2 games in a row. You are the man JP!
On to business….here’s my roster. Who should I start and who should I drop/pick up. I picked up Sammy Morris since fragile Fred is out. Good move? Also, what do you think about the RB situation in NO? Thomas? Bell? Lastly, is it a bad idea to start both Housh and Burleson together? Hasselbeck is back and the both did pretty even last week. This is a non PPR league. WR rack up more points per yards then RB’s.
QB: Warner
WR: Housh
RB: Thomas
TE: Winslow
W/R: Burleson
BN: T.Jones, P.Manning, S.Morris(NE)
Available:
WR: M.Austin, A.Collie, Holt, S.Rice, Garcon, Britt, M.Wallace, N.Washington, M.Clayton (BAL), K.Washington, Berrian, Ginn Jr, Breaston, Avery,
RB: Bradshaw, Sproles, Choice, D.Brown, Cadillac, R. Bush, Coffee,M.Bush, L.Johnson, M.Bell
As always, thanks again for great advice. (Non-PPR)
I’m planning on starting McNabb over Rivers this week; good choice?
Also, a little worried about WR situation but nobody seems to want to make a legitimate trade – starting Burleson but need 2 more: Nicks, Holmes, or TO.
I have too many good RBs, and although many teams in my league need RBs they are not willing to give up anything for them. Which 2 should I start: Turner, Moreno, Bradshaw, Rice
Thanks.
Should I start Drew Brees vs. NYG
or Matt Ryan vs. Chicago?
Who would you start? Mcnabb this week or Brees?
All right, a lot to get through…let’s get started…
Pradeep — DeSean was shut out last week, so normally I’d expect a bounce back game, but it’s a tough matchup with OAK. I’d go with Boldin and Bradshaw since it’s non-PPR.
Evan — Rodgers vs. DET is a good matchup. At RB, MJD and Forte look like the safest bets. I like Mendenhall too, but with Parker practicing, I’m worried about his touches. I do like Driver this week, but Marshall, Sims-Walker and Welker at WR seem like better plays. I’d go with the hot hand — Miller — at TE. At DT, Minny has the better defense but a tough matchup, so I’d go with JAX who faces STL.
Raj — Is this PPR? If so, Walter’s value is enhanced. I’d take Walter over Nicks. Royal and Nicks are pretty close, but Nicks gives you a nice insurance policy on S. Smith, so I wouldn’t make that move. (I’d grab Walter though, even if this is not PPR.)
Nick — I’d go with White, Bowe and Sims-Walker, though it’s tough to bench Ward, so you may want to go with your gut. Both Pierre and Slaton have tough matchups, but Pierre has been more productive, so he’s probably the better start. Though keep an eye on how he practices this week. He was limited yesterday with a bad ankle. At QB, it’s a tough call because Hass has a GREAT remaining schedule — the easiest in the league. But I’d hold onto Ryan because he’s been very solid and Hass has been injury prone the last couple of years.
Luis — I think Holmes holds a little more value, so you could probably ask for more. It’s a fair trade as it stands. The only worry is that Beanie Wells gets more and more work as the season wears on.
Scorpion — Rodgers, S. Smith, Mendenhall, Sims-Walker, Crosby is fine, DEN is playing well so stick with them. I’d hold onto Hightower.
Back in a bit with more answers…
Kaya — I think Jackson and Lynch are your best plays. I’d go with Brees at QB. He doesn’t have a great matchup, but neither does McNabb.
Ken — If you can get Ronnie for Jennings, more power to you. This week, I’d start Forte and Bradshaw, with Jennings, Smith and TJ as your flex.
Texas — Of course that’s a good move to pick up Morris. If you were a regular TSR reader, you would already feel confident in your decision. (J/K) Anyway, it’s not a bad idea to start two WRs from the same team, especially when they have a good matchup, which SEA does this week. I think Pierre would be the guy in NO, but he has a bad ankle and was limited yesterday in practice. If that continues, I’d go with Jones at RB.
RJR — Rivers has a pretty tough matchup this week, so it makes sense to bench him for McNabb, who played great last week. I’d go with Holmes and TO as your other two WR. I’m thinking Moreno and Turner at RB, since Rice has a pretty tough matchup. In terms of trade, maybe you should try to use one of your RBs to upgrade from TO or Holmes. So offer a RB + WR for a stud WR. That way, the other team will be more likely to bite. Moreno plus Holmes should nab you Fitzgerald, AJ or Wayne, especially if this is a non-PPR league. You’re giving up more than you’re getting, but maybe if they throw in a RB it will make it even.
Dennis — Absolutely start Benson. His matchup is terrific, while Jacobs’s is pretty tough.
Finally, be sure to follow me on Twitter.
Deema — Sorry, missed yours the first time through. I’d go with Brees.
My team consists of: (RB)Deangelo Williams, Marshawn Lynch, Cedric Benson, Thomas Jones, Ricky Williams, (WR)T.O., Eddie Royal, Kevin Walter, Kenny Britt, and now Miles Austin. My league gives one point for each reception. My question is: Should I accept this trade, as I need a receiver?
I trade Thomas Jones and Ricky Williams for Vincent Jackson and Lesean McCoy? I want a solid receiver badly, and I’ll probably never start Ricky, but am I giving too much for too little? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Would it be wise grab Miles Austin in a PPR league?
Gardner — I like this trade for your team. Vincent is pretty much a must-start every week.
Kaya — Sure, but it all depends on who you have to cut.
Thank you. Been agonizing about it.
One more question for u. What do u think about Ricky Williams for Santana Moss?
(He got cold feet on the other one)
Gardner — Yeah, that looks like a good trade for you.
well, I have WR:A.Bryant,Lee Evans & TE: M. Lewis ( because Witten has a bye week this week)those are the only players i’ld consider dropping for Austin. I went ahead and grabbed Sammy Morris and TE:M. Lewis would be the likely option, but like i said Witten has a bye week and I don’t think Austin would remain on the waivers much longer. My other WR’s are Ochocinco and Colston.
RB’s are P.Thomas, S.Jackson,and Lynch
QB: Brees,McNabb,Eli
DEF: CHI
Really need some help with this!!
Hi JP,
Hope all is well, non-ppr league. WOuld you drop TO for Kevin Walter?
Thanks,
Raj
JP..here’s my roster…would you pick up/drop any existing players for whats available?
QB: Warner
WR: Housh
RB: Thomas
TE: Winslow
W/R: Burleson
BN: T.Jones, P.Manning, S.Morris(NE)
Available:
WR: M.Austin, A.Collie, Holt, S.Rice, Garcon, Britt, M.Wallace, N.Washington, M.Clayton (BAL), K.Washington, Berrian, Ginn Jr, Breaston, Avery,
RB: Bradshaw, Sproles, Choice, D.Brown, Cadillac, R. Bush, Coffee,M.Bush, L.Johnson, M.Bell
Raj — Hard for me to answer, because I don’t think I would have drafted TO in the first place. But seriously, it’s very close right now between these two. T.O. has three great matchups in a row in weeks 8 through 11, so I’d probably hold on until then and see if he can get it going.
Texas — I think I’d hang tight.
Thanks! ok one more question. Heres what I have lined up to start this Sunday
RB: P.Thomas
WR: Housh
W/R: Burleson
BN: T. Jones
Should I fit T.Jones in the mix? He’s got good matchup against bad Bills def. If so, Who should I take out in place of him?
Some quick questions:
-Schaub or Rothlisberger?
-(pick 2) T.Jones, R.Mendenhall, A.Bradshaw, P.Thomas, L.Tomlinson
-Do I dare think of starting N.Burleson over A.Bouldin?
Texas — Yeah he does have a good matchup. Sub him in for Burleson.
Zookeeper — I think Big Ben is a very solid play this week. Cincy’s defense has been pretty good so it might give HOU some trouble. Stick with Boldin. At RB, Jones and Mendenhall have the best matchups, but Mendenhall might defer to Parker, so keep an eye on the news wire Sunday morning. If Mendenhall is going to get most of the carries then he should be your starter. If you’re uncomfortable with this, Pierre should be a solid start assuming he practices the rest of the week. Apparently, he’s dealing with a hamstring injury. Bradshaw wouldn’t be a bad start either if Mendenhall and Pierre fall through.
Hey JP,
I’m in a bit of a must win situation this week. Can you help me out with my line up?
PPR format
Starting line up -
QB – D. Brees
WR – D. Jackson
WR – V. Jackson
RB – A. Peterson
RB – L. Washington
TE – B. Celek
W/R – P. Harvin
K – J. Scobee
Def – Pitt.
Bench –
WR – C. Johnson, H. Nicks
RB – D. Sproles, M. Bush
TE – G. Olsen
Also, do you think any of these players could be used for Trade bait and if so, judging from my line up, what or who should I go for?
Thanks for the help!
Who do i start
Qb- Aaron Rodgers or Joe Flacco
Wr/te(2)-Marques Colston, Antonio Gates,Greg Jennings, maurice Sims-walker
and at Rb after this week who should i drop Steven jackson, or Deangelo Williams since i have Frank Gore and Ronnie Brown
hey JP
witch 3 WR should i start: derrick mason, donnie averry, tj houzmanzadeh, lee evans, dennis northcutt, or mohammed massaquoi
Ok, need your help, NON PPR league:
2 RBs, 2 WRs, and 1 flex
RBs: MJD, Lynch (vs Jets), Stewart (vs Tampa), Ward (vs Carolina)
WRs: Roddy White (vs Bears), Walter (vs Cincy), Donnie Avery (vs Jax), Earl Bennett (vs ATL)
Also, should I start the Giants D vs Brees and the Saints or should I pick up a D off of waivers (ATL, Redskins, Seahawks)
hey i need your opinion
*this is a nonPPR league
pick 2 RB:
Steven Jackson
Ryan Grant
Thomas Jones
Fred Jackson
Tim Hightower
pick 3 WR: (im real weak here)
Roddy White
Devery Henderson
Bobby Wade
Mario Manningham
thanks for the help
Schmiddy — You are looking pretty strong at WR, TE and QB, so I’d try to get a RB. Look for a team in your league that has no good TE and maybe offer up Olsen + Washington for a solid RB2.
Austin — I’d start Rodgers, with Gates, Jennings and Sims-Walker at WR/TE. I wouldn’t cut any of those RBs. See if you can upgrade at WR by trading two for one — (i.e. Jackson + Sims-Walker for a very good WR).
Scott — MJD and Lynch look like the best starts. At WR, I like Roddy and Avery, but you could start Walter if you aren’t comfy with Avery yet. I’d stick with the Giants versus NO. None of those other options are that appealing.
Unger — Steven Jackson and Ryan Grant are good starts this week. At WR, I’d go with Roddy, Manningham and Henderson — at least you have a shot at a big game with Devery. You should consider moving one of your RBs for a starting-caliber WR.
sohuld i drop tennesse def and pick up one of these:
Dallas
jaguars
washington
or miami
i need some help in deciding on WR
ochocinco and dwayne bowe i was gonna start but need one more out of johnny know hakeem nicks or chris henry
Thanks for your advice –
Who do you think is better to have for the long run – Garcon or Massaquoi? (Non-PPR)
I dropped Massaquoi to pick up Nicks for this week but wonder if I should pick him back up (now a FA) and drop garcon (or possibly Nicks) – what do you think?
I currently also have Burleson, Randy Moss, Nicks, & TO.
Thanks.
Also, I traded away Bradshaw to get Randy Moss and now need a bye fill-in next week at RB – I had been trying to work a deal all week and finally gave into this one even though it left me with 1 RB next week.
Anyway – which FA do you think will be better in week 7 (Non-PPR):
Jamaal Charles, Jerome Harrison, Mike Bell, Larry Johnson, Kevin Faulk, Michael Bush or Laurence Maroney.
I want to pick someone up tomorrow and want a good idea of who to look at.
Thanks.
john,
got my first taste of a loss this year – and needless-to-say it tasted bad. My bench went off of course.
jackson – 1.1 (wtf?)
scobee – 0 (had bironas – he went off)
hill – 12 (other option – anderson(-2) yikes)
walker – 0 (damn women!)
i lost by .70 (sigh)
although having 4 players having 13.1 point total may raise an eyebrow – the picks i believe were the right ones – just really bad luck – and a lesson learned on having too many on losing teams playing at the same (make or break ya)
on to week 6:
PPR 1 QB 2RB 2WR 1TE Flex Def
Current lineup:
QB Rodgers
RB1 Slaton
RB2 C. WIlliams (pickup) – slim pickins
WR1 A Johnson
WR2 Bowe
Flex Sims-Walker
TE H. Miller
Def Pitt
Concerns: RB2/Flex
Bench: D Jackson, McGahee, Manningham
Which would you start and why?
please note D. Jackson has been killing me. I don’t start him in 2 games (no mcnabb) and he goes off with 27 points per game…i start 1.1 (1 catch for 1 yard) – with mcNabb
please advise
Brian
Hey JP,thanx 4 da advice last week. NonPPR TD heavy league
Out of these 2WR Antonio Bryant & Lee Evans, Who would you start this week?
Also,Who should I go with this week? McNabb or Brees.
Oh yeah, Is CHI DEF a safe bet this week or should I grab CIN off waiver? I have a roster space available
I have too many rb’s. I can play 2. Who do you think with Slaton, Kevin Smith, Lynch, Buckhalter, and Hightower? Recent word seems that Buckhalter will play, but more likely Moreno will get the work and Hightower has been losing carries to Wells. Non-ppr league. Thanks.
alex — My weekly DTBWW post might be of use to you going forward. I ranked WAS ahead of JAX in the post, but I’d go with JAX right now. TEN isn’t worth holding onto.
Kevin – Nicks has been the hottest of late, so I’d go with him.
RJR – Massaquoi is Cleveland’s WR1 so I think he has the most value going forward. Garcon has to deal with the emergence of Collie and Anthony Gonzalez is coming back soon. I like Nicks more than Garcon. At RB, Michael Bush is probably your best play in Week 7, as of right now.
Brian — If it makes you feel any better, I had Scobee in a couple of leagues and got the goose egg too. The Sims-Walker suspension really put a damper on JAX’s offense. Looking at your lineup, I think you need to stick with DeSean. I know it’s tough, but he’s likely to have a nice game this week. I’d take Bowe out, but if you want to start Bowe (understandable after his nice game last week), then Jackson should replace Sims-Walker. Jackson and Sims-Walker have great matchups, while Bowe’s matchup isn’t good. Caddy is a sneaky good start this week against CAR.
Da Kid — Both guys have brutal matchups, so I’d go with the guy who actually has done something this year — Bryant. At QB, it’s close. McNabb’s matchup is a little better, but Brees is the better fantasy QB, so I’d go with him. CHI’s matchup is terrible while CIN’s is mediocre. I’d go with Cincy at home.
Alan — I’d run Lynch and K. Smith out there. They both have decent matchups, and have been pretty good. None of the other guys have juicy matchups this week.
JP, last min question, should I drop Tim Hightower for Ahmad Bradshaw?
Still start Steve Smith (NYG) and Sim-Walker over DeSean Jackson?
Who would you start as your flex player between Rashard Mendenhall and Torry Holt?
My lineup as is: Garrard, Westbrook, Grant, Mendenhall, Boldin, Smith
Reserves: Holt, Reggie Bush, Julius Jones
miles austin had one good game now everyone is wanting to give there life for him…i would wait a week maybe 2 to see if he is gonna do anything at all
should i drop patrick crayton and pick up sidney rice or nate washington?
Scorpion — I’d start those two over Jackson. OAK has arguably the best CB in the league. PPR league, I’d go with Hightower. Std league Bradshaw is probably a bit better.
Tommy Z — I’d definitely go with Mendenhall..
collin — of those three, I like Rice the best, but they’re all pretty close.
That will be it for today. Good luck, and be sure to check back tomorrow morning for our Fantasy Fallout for each position.
Hello JP.
Still winning with your advice!!!
I am having some difficulty selecting my 2nd RB.
I am definitly starting Grant, and I need to choose from Hightower, Lynch, Fred Jackson.
Hightower has a higher Fantasy projection (according to CBS)
Looking forward to your reply,
Bolt
Which 2 RB should I start?
ronnie brown
pierre thomas
jonathan stewart
rashard mendenhall
Thanks
I’m not sure who to start Ryan Matthews or Stephen Jackson?
