Allen did demand top 5 end money. He was KC's only D player. He'd have to convert to a 3-4 Outside LB like Merriman or something to that effect, not his best place. If Albert develops then KC is going to be fine with the decision. One thing to keep in mind is how much money they saved by trading Allen. They lost a terrific player, but one that wouldn't have fit their new system anyway, so as long as some of these prospects pan out they're going to be fine. John – good points.

He may be the best straight edge rusher, or one of the best speed straight ahead ends. Its hard to say if KC lost big or not. The williams wall allows him to be one on one way outside.
