I agree with Jeffrey S. about Navarro. Unlike the other International basketball players in the NBA he had a family already, two baby girls. I remember watching a program "Informe Robinson" on youtube it was a behind-the-scenes life in Memphis and he mentions how hard it is to raise his children in a foreign country, different language, different culture so he had A Lot of Cons not just $$$ & homesickness. His family was #1 reason he decided to return.

You are right Barcelona is nice, but forget a few things about Navarro, who obviously could play in the NBA. He made terrible money in Memphis, less than half a million. So the decision to come back was not just homesickness, it was financial.

Rubio's decision to not go to Minnesota is only that, financial. They can't pay, and he should not be asked to pay to play, that is unreasonable. If the T-Wolves had convinced his team with an offer--their was very low, as mentioned--and they'd accepted, he'd be buying furniture for his new home in the Twin Cities right now, and all this hometown sentimentality would be forgotten.
