Warriors should only take 2-3 years to become playoff worthy. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they pulled it off next year. Most good teams in the west now are winding down because they're getting old. Warriors have a lot of young talent with Randolph, Biedrens, Curry, Wright, and Bellini. Not to mention some experienced veterans in Jackson, Magette, and Ellis. Honestly, when you look at this team by the players names you would think they are a 1, 2, or 3 seed in the playoffs. They're almost done rebuilding and Curry is the player to put them over the top. Even without a trade; Ellis, Curry, Jackson, Randolph, Biedrens, and 6th man Magette is a winning team. Not to mention their hall of fame coach in Don Nelson. Go Warriors because next year is our year.

Amare stoudemire is the best PF in the NBA running game, he(like monta)is unguardable in transition. The warriors are one of the best running teams, but they need a finisher in transition from the 4-5 to really balance the offense. Stephen Curry is an unknown, and turiaf can play along side amare better than he can play along side biedrens(cant have 2 non shooting defenders on the floor at those positions, bad spacing). I like turiaf getting more minutes for the warriors, he's a defensive stud at the '5'. The warriors spacing in transition and in the half court is lacking because they dont have a legitimate offensive threat at the 4-5. Get the spacing right and monta will go wild. This is why I say do the deal if I am a warriors fan, heck it would MAKE me a warriors fan. The suns are toast, it'll be awhile before they put together a good team. The warriors would be giving up biedrens, who has very limited offensive game and is a lesser defender than turiaf, curry, and a few scrubs. Curry is a question mark, probably will be a shooter who comes off screens ala rip hamilton, he's no dynamite PG thats for sure.

I agree they can be a playoff team in 3-5 years and it\'s gonna be curry at 1, ellis at 2, Jackson at 3,(if he still playing) wright or Randolph at 4 and biedrins at 5 and promising bench in azubuike, Watson, morrow, maggette at 6th man, law,and turiaf. Did you here about them dealing for bosh or boozer

Your right they shouldn't give up all that for a center who gets injured a lot. The warriors have a promising future and maybe they can be a playoff team

While I agree it's a lot to give up (Biedrins is 23, btw), the original deal was for Biedrins, Wright, Belinelli and the #7 pick. Randolph is considered "untouchable" apparently, so I doubt Golden State would give him up.

As for Amare's contract situation, I doubt the Warriors would go through with it w/o working out some sort of extension. I agree that without that, it doesn't make sense for GS to go through with the trade.

It seem pretty clear that the Warriors are not going to move Curry.
His game will meld into all of Ellis inadequacies, and vice versa.

It makes sense to talk about an Amare deal, but if you look at the facts that Biedrins is only 22, Randolph is 20, and Belinelli is 23, it seems foolish to give up such high end prospects for 1 Amare, who is at his peak right now.

When given the minutes, Belinelli and Randolph have shown solid signs of promise. Biedrins is a solid NBA 5. subtract Jackson and Maggettte, and you have a young upstart team with a bright future.

Just does not make since, especially when you discuss the climate of the economy in basketball. Amare would be a sure thing to leave when his contract ends, so why give everything up when that is a highly likely possibility?
