Gonzalez mischaracterized Morris&#039;s position, calling the mention of PED speculation his &quot;conclusion&quot; when it was just one of many points that Morris brought to the table. Then he and Rosenthal get on their soapbox about being fair to athletes.

There is straight journalism and there is opinion. Those are two very different things. Bloggers typically fall into the latter category and should be given leeway when expressing their thoughts about a particular subject. The fact that there is speculation about Ibanez&#039;s jump this season is a fair topic for a blog post. If Ibanez wants to put the speculation to rest, he should as MLB to test him now and release the results. Case closed.

MLB is at this point because it turned a blind eye to PED use for years and years. We&#039;re not here because some blogger speculated about the possibility that a player is using drugs.

Release the list of 100+ names, and make your testing policy more stringent and more transparent. That&#039;s the only way to really clean up baseball.</description>
