Anonymous - good call on Crabtree, especially in light of him being a headcase. Harvin has been exceptional for Minnesota.

I'm surprised about Laurinaitis, I really am. So far, I was wrong about him - he's been great.

They say it takes three years to truly evaluate a draft, so we'll see how bad I screwed up in a few years!

Looks like after 1/3 season, you might want to go back to this posting and see how well you did :) Percy Harvin at #22 was not actually high, it was pretty low, considering his ability. Also, if you were going to point out his character issue, you should have noticed Crabtree has also character issue.

Also, it seems the James Laurinaitis from Ohio st. doing very fine unlike this prediction #37. Chris Wells has injury issue and not so productive.

Your prediction about Aaron Curry is correct so far though.

Nice job, Anthony Kiper-Stalter. You know your stuff. I especially liked the comment about the Raiders. As long as Al Davis is calling the shots they are a mess.
I agree about Sanchez. Some of my closest friends are Jets' fans and hope it works out, but I'm predicting that it won't. Again, excellent work, thorough and informative.
Let's start the season.

Good wrap ATS ........ There is nothing left to say but - we'll get back to you in three years and see how all these picks turned out.
You done your homework.

Can’t agree with you on that one. Bradford and McCoy will both be marginal at best in the NFL - Sanchez would have been picked ahead of both of them.

I'll give McCoy - not Bradford. I know you think all Big 12 quarterbacks are overrated because nobody plays defense in that conference, but I think Bradford is the real deal and a legitimate No. 1 pick next year.

My biggest concern with Sanchez is how flustered he got when a team was able to get a good rush on him. And that was college - what's going to happen in the NFL when defensive coordinators are going to send multiple defenders at him at all times? His decision-making wasn't always good in the clutch (see the Oregon State and California games from last year as examples) either.

But you can find five negative things to say about every prospect in the draft, as well as five positive things. The bottom line is that we'll never know where Sanchez would rank if we waited to come out, but I wonder...

"But I can’t help but think about how if Mark Sanchez had waited to come out next year, there’s a good chance he would be the third quarterback taken behind Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy. Yet he was a top 5 pick in this year’s draft and the Jets had to trade two high picks and three players in order to select him. Yikes."
