UFC’s Dana White unleashes profanity-laced tirade at reporter
Apparently UFC President Dana White isn’t a big fan of MMA reporter Loretta Hunt’s work.
SPORTSbyBROOKS.com fills us in on how White unleashed a five minute hate speech tirade on her after she recently wrote a story about how some managers and agents are losing backstage passes at UFC events.
Most of White rambling, hate-filled harangue isn’t worth printing, considering how he addressed Hunt and her reportage. But here’s some of the missives:
“I just heard there was an absolutely f—ing retarded story written by Loretta Hunt. Loretta, you f—ing moron. …
“Just to show how f—ing dumb you are, number one. … you don’t even know what the f— you’re talking about. … shut the f— up. …
“Whoever gave you that quote is a pussy, and a f—ing faggot and a liar. …
“Maybe you’re the liar Loretta, writing bullsh– f—ing stories. Everything that comes out of your mouth is f—ing stupid. …
“You f—ing dumb bitch, f— you Loretta Hunt.”
White also kicked in an obscene gesture while making the final comment.
Now for a little background on Hunt from one of my well-placed MMA sources:
“This Loretta Hunt and Sherdog have been banned from covering UFC for years. They are not credentialed to the events. Yet Sherdog is the content provider for ESPN and Hunt is their lead writer.”
Interesting. So not only is White verbally spitting in the face of Hunt, but he’s also, albeit indirectly, doing the same to ESPN.Wonder how the Worldwide Leader will respond to this? Hopefully by airing the comments to an audience of millions, so people can see and here the real White.

I don’t follow enough UFC, MMA, Dana White or Loretta Hunt content to know what White is talking about in this video, but he comes off sounding completely unprofessional and moronic. Whether what he is saying is true or not, White’s entire tirade comes off sloppy, unprepared and completely unnecessary.
This is the President of the UFC?!?
Wow, real professional. No wonder no one wants to go on the record speaking out against him or his company — he’ll just record a three-minute video calling them names.
Wow, what a jerk that guy is. I’m sure the MMA fans applaud every move this guy makes, which reflects very poorly upon them as well as their sport.

For starters, this is no surprise. Dana has been this way from day one and doesn’t try to hide it. Anyone who has ever watched an episode of The Ultimate Fighter could figure that out.
Second, professionalism aside he is dominating the MMA market and anything Loretta Hunt, or anyone else that has actively been banned from covering one of the biggest sports companies in the country right now, says is going to be against that company and likely exaggerated if not totally untrue.
Third, Dana White made the UFC (and every other MMA company) what it is today. Everybody will think something like this when they hear an article bashing something that they have created. Just because Dana comes out and says it doesn’t make him a bad person. In fact, all of the people that are trying to be something that they are not are way worse than Dana. All they are are puppets. Loretta Hunt and everyone else damning the UFC is very bitter about Dana’s success. Like it or not, he has made it. This little tirade will not hurt his Pay Per View buy number, merchandise sales, or ticket sales one bit. He will say what he wants too, when he wants too, and he will get away with it and come out completely unharmed.
And lastly, yeah Hank. I do agree with Dana and applaud most of the moves he makes. Because I am an MMA fan. And Dana, myself, nor any other MMA fans give a shit what you think because you and your opinion don’t mean a damn thing to us. So what if you don’t like MMA, who cares, just don’t fucking watch it. I will continue to watch it and enjoy it and I don’t want pussies like you coming in and ruining it for me.
PS- Loretta Hunt got what she fucking deserved from Dana. And fuck you Hank and John you fucking morons.
Dave – Did you even read the article in question? It wasn’t even very critical of White. He looks like a petulant child throwing a tantrum in this video. He barely made any arguments — he just called her and her sources names.
I know nothing about Loretta Hunt or her relationship with the UFC, other than she apparently covers the sport. So why would she be jealous of UFC’s success? This point makes no sense. If the UFC weren’t successful, she wouldn’t have a job, right? Why has the UFC banned her?
Maybe instead of calling us names you could enlighten us as to why this reporter is such a horrible person, deserving of a three-minute curse-filled rant from a president of a multi-million dollar company.

You go on and on about how successful White has made the UFC but that has little to do with this particular discussion. Your suckling at the teet of White, the MMA and UFC means nothing.
Yes, White is incredibly successful and I applaud him for making the UFC mainstream. But could you imagine if Roger Goodell, Bud Selig or David Stern did something like this? They would be absolutely lambasted and probably lose their job. But because it’s the MMA we can’t criticize how distasteful this guy looks in the video? What, because MMA is “hardcore” we’re supposed to write this off as White being a badass and move on?
He reached during that whole segment. He played to the raw emotion of MMA fans like you and to the rest of us, he looks like a tool.

This video is simply Dana being Dana. The “thing” about Dana is he speaks his mind whether he has something good, something bad, something obnoxious or something downright nasty to say. He never holds back even when sometimes he should.
The good thing about this behavior trait is that you’ll always know what Dana’s thinking because he doesn’t sugarcoat anything. And the bad thing about doing this is that he can often piss off many people with his no-holds barr tirades.
I’ve written articles for MMAnews.com and despite never personally meeting Dana, I feel as though I know who he is as a person and what he’s all about. I have no doubt that Dana goes to bat for his friends in any type of situation whenever asked or even if they don’t ask him for help. I believe he will always protect his friends (not referring to the physical aspect) as though he was protecting himself. He will feverishly protect the UFC – the multi-million dollar company he started with his good friends (the Zuffa brothers).
Initially, when Dana asked Zuffa to invest millions of dollars into the UFC, it appeared that they were going to lose their investment. Only due to Dana’s insistence and demeanor, did Zuffa not sell. They wanted to minimize as much of their losses as possible but Dana convinced them to hold out and not sell. If Dana didn’t have the attitude that he has, he wouldn’t have been successful in convincing Zuffa to hold out and we would not have the UFC that we so enjoy.
So, when people like Ms. Hunt denigrate the company Dana built from almost nothing, he can sometimes lose his composure. I truly believe that he takes these insults and/or attacks personally. Instead of absorbing or deflecting the insult(s), because we know that no one can make everyone happy, Dana instantly goes into attack mode. Due to all the blood, sweat, tears and money that Dana has invested, I believe that he takes every insult to heart and feels as though the person making the insult is attacking the UFC.
I think that Dana treats the UFC as though it were his child (or children) and any normal person will do everything in his power and use every tool in his or her arsenal to protect his children. So when someone goes after the UFC (his children – like Loretta did), Dana’s “switch” is instantly flipped on. You’ll get many people to say that doing this is a good thing and conversely, you’ll get many people to say that when Dana does this, it is not a good thing. Only you can decide what you think is right.
But, you must agree that whatever Loretta says, she needs to know what she is talking about and simply not spout untruths simply because she either doesn’t like Dana or the UFC.
I read Ms. Hunt’s article and all it basically said was that agents and managers were getting squeezed out of being backstage. She had a few sources that didn’t want to go on the record (and after the video, it’s obvious why they wouldn’t want to put a bull’s eye on their back for White to shoot at).
But really, what’s the big deal? So she says that agents and managers can’t get backstage…why does White take this as a personal insult? If she’s wrong, can’t he just dispute her facts by stating the UFC’s policy and move on? What’s the point of the temper tantrum?

Anyone whos watching this or seeing this is an adult and Im sure can handle a few swear words, and if your too young to be watching this then maybe thats a parenting problem.
