And I thought espn was biased. There is no way the Red Sox are number two in the power rankings. The whole pitching staff is garbage. I don\'t see Red Sox getting past the first round of the playoffs. Sure they may have beaten the Angels in the past playoffs. Notice the past. Yankees try to make the team better by buying high profile players. They have no farm team. I don\'t think they ever will. Yankees are going to make the playoffs and be out in the first round too. I can\'t wait to see what espn is going to do when both the Red Sox and Yankees don\'t make it past the first round.

Boston is a "regular" team? Oh, ok.

Big Steinny...I think we've got a great chance to win this year. This kid Gardner is gonna be a sparkplug and give them speed they haven't had in awhile. The ball is flying out of the new stadium so Teixiera should be on his way to an MVP season. I love all the "Jeter is finished" talk going on...the guy hit .300 and still finished in the top 25 in the majors in total hits. In a "down" year.

The only thing the Yankees could improve on is parking at the stadium.

Of Course they are the favorites.Just look at that lineup and payroll. And, if they should drop to second or 3rd in the division - they can buy up some more during the season .... why not ? That payroll doesn't cement a title - but it sure makes it easier doesn't it kids ? It's their title to lose for the 36th strait year. Blah, Blah, Blah.
There are two REGULAR baseball teams in their division that are tough and gritty and have a chance. Thats Tampa and Boston. Thats says a lot for them spending about $150 mill less (Tampa) - and (Boston) $100 mill less.

There are a lot of question but most of them are minor this year...there are no real issues. A-Rod will be back, they have an actual 5-man rotation with Hughes in the wings. They have an agressive right fielder in Nagy that will hit the wall for you and two kids hungry to play center field.

If I had to pick two concerns... it's chicken wing Damon....and how to come up with 2000.00 to see a game.

Final note, Thank God the Bleacher Bums get beer this year....it's been dry out there since 2001.
