If you are great at what you do and you generate a lot of revenue because of your skills, you deserve to get paid. As for Calhoun, it's not up to him whether or not college players are paid. He is one of the top coaches in the country and if UConn didn't pay him that salary, someone else would. That's his market value. And you said he's "bragging" -- he did come off as kind of a dick, but I don't think he was trying to boast about how rich he is. I think he was being a smartass to a guy that he thought was asking a smartass question. He's probably out of touch with the struggles going on across the country right now, but he's one of many that are living in their own little worlds. Thanks for checking out the site! Either way, this argument could go on forever. The real point is that the college players *supposedly* get no money from UConn while Calhoun gets $1.6M. He's bragging about what he makes off the sweat and effort of his players. Regardless, I love the site and thanks for checking mine out as well. As a whole, they get paid more than anyone and aren't very good at what they do, at least not in the last few years.
