I don’t know that Barbosa can be a true point guard, but yeah, that makes sense. I think the problem is that the Suns have already decided that they don’t want to build around Stoudemire.

i think the suns should get rid of nash and shaq…although i like nash…he\’s getting old…so they should get rid of those 2 and rebuild around amare…get barbosa to play point and pick up a center with the nash/shaq trade…thats just my perspective…make sense?

Anon, you’re offer is a little better because of the two first round picks, but there isn’t a marquee player nor a rising star in that group you offered. Pretzel, your offer is even worse. You can’t just add up the points and say that the trade is equal because Amare scores all those points from one position — you have to take into account the points that Amare’s teammates will post, which is what makes Amare so valuable. And the Suns aren’t going to take a bad contract like Simmons’ in return.
