Every fan that supports the idea of a playoff should be rooting for the messiest finish possible to the college football season. The messier the better, because that will continue to put the pressure on the BCS to switch to a playoff system. It isn't going to happen soon, but it may happen eventually if we continue to have finishes like the one this season. Not just a +1 game, but an actual tournament? These guys are totally missing the boat. I haven't looked at bowl ratings but would think an 8-team, 7 bowl championship tournament would draw more than all of the current bowls combined.
