I love the way the Cavs are playing. Wally is doing a nice job off the bench, and Andy gives them great energy. That said, the Cavs are deep at guard, and they seem to really like their young power forwards as well. I guess I didn't realize how much Marion could conribute on defense. There's no sense in trimming salary because all that's going to do is weaken the team and push LeBron out the door in two years. However, if they acquire a guy that has a contract that runs longer than through next season, they can kiss their chances for Chris Bosh, Amare and Wade goodbye. This Marion deal would give the Cavs an opportunity to test drive the Matrix and see if he would fit into their long term plans.
