So, those in control of a crappy system are preventing anything that might take away their power in the future. And, yes, there is a big difference between the Rose, Fiesta, Orange, Sugar bowls instead of the Poinsettia, Motor City and .com bowls - people watch them. Would it really matter if Boise State played Texas? Sure, it would be a little more interesting to see how they did against the Longhorns because Texas' profile is bigger, but does it really matter in the end? And the BCS wouldn't want that matchup because if the Broncos were able to pull of the upset it would only strengthen the argument that a playoff is needed.
